Fire Emblem If (2 versions: ¥4700 game, ¥1852 other ver content DLC, ¥1852 3rd DLC)

Looks good to me. Don't know what he was talking about for difficulty though.
Pretty sure they wouldn't make stories restricted to a difficulty. Considering the Casual mode was another positive that helped Awakening.

Aw thats bullshit if you only get one storyline and you need to buy DLC to get the other half of the game. If thats the case Im gonna wait for bargain bin price.

Game is sold in two separate versions. After buying one, the other path is available as discounted DLC, as is a third storyline. Limited edition will contain all storylines.

Only possible response if this actually happens upon NA release.

Here's hoping we'll get one single version in the west. 2 versions + 3rd storyline DLC sounds like a serious cash-grab.

Its one game in EU, i'm guessing the two versions is more like Pokemon Red/blue and they are the same with minor differences.

The music was fantastic.

Oh hell no. NA and EU games better be reduced to one version containing both storyline. That "limited edition" better be the "only" edition released here.
Also another "no": no storyline should be hidden behind a paywall.

Come on, they managed to save this franchise from oblivion, and they pull this kind of move?!

Shibata definitely said "The new Fire Emblem game for Nintendo 3DS is planned for a 2016 release in Europe". That and the rest of the wording make me assume that the game will only be released in two versions in Japan, and will see a combined release in Europe (and the US). Which would make sense, if you ask me. Have to play it safe in the niche.

I mean, they might change their minds on this, but as of now, I'd expect it to be a single game in the west.

Waiting to know about the price of the games if they are indeed separate and how different the paths would be. Also, the EU direct never mentioned anything about two different games and I don't really care about the JP direct as it isn't "directed" to us. I'm waiting on this one before losing my "shit".

Sorry for the thread momentarily disappearing there, we had a little oopsie while merging some duplicate threads and trying to get the informative post in the OP. Thanks for your patience.

Looked like one version from the NA Direct to me.

Looking forward to this, although it's clear I won't love the art style as much as PoR/RD, there's hope for the story, characters and gameplay yet. The music is great too. If they can make the world feel as fleshed out as PoR/RD instead of Awakening then this should be even better.

Please wait for Nintedo to confirm this info before jumping on the bandwagon.
Also it takes time to develop videos game. The game ain't just gonna drop down from the sky you know.

The NA stream didn't mention any of this. I suppose because it's pretty far off from release. It would be pretty lame if they do that here too.

They know the audience they went after with Awakening will eat it up. There's a reason that there was a first person "Onii-chan" in the trailer.

Well if they're going the Pokemon route with the dual versions I'll just aim for the LE. As long as it's under 70 I won't mind the price too much if it includes all 3 story routes.

Hopefully it's all on one cartridge in the EU, as they seemed to imply.

If not, I'll happily buy both versions.

I just hope they manage to recapture the glory of Awakening, and keep the relationships mechanics. Everything so far though looks so bloody brilliant!

Wait so are the games in Japan collectively more than the price of a single 3ds game or equal to/less? If the latter then it's not too bad right?

The western directs difinitly did not mention anything about two versions of the game. Hopefully it comes in a single package to the west.

If that means different characters and different maps for both versions, why not?

ill buy the special edition with both games and the third scenario

Dunno, I honestly think we'll get one definitive version. Even though it may have gotten out of the niche of the niche with Awakening, NOA must be sensible enough to know that they still can't justify a dual version release of such a (relatively) low-key franchise in this market.

Oh, they are two different games? The EU direct made it seem like it'd be a choice in game. That kinda sucks then.

Not a fan of the two version style but I will get one of them. I'll read impressions about how different they are and maybe buy the other version, too.

Yo the way Bill was talking about it it's almost certain it's going to be a NA/EU storyline choice. I got no hint whatsover of seperate games from the english stream.
