Does it matter WHEN you eat the cords?

The only requirement is you need to eat them before you fight/kill the final boss
Gerhman
. On my second, good ending play-through I forgot to eat them, nearly killed them but died. I then ate them, killed them, and it still worked. Just make sure eat them before you plan on killing the final boss.

does anybody know where i can find a list of all of ghermans sleep talking he does when you find him hidden by
the stump in the hunters dream?
only just discovered this and would like to know what story things i missed from his sleep talking.

So what's everyone's go-to farming spot?

Echoes: C
ainhurst
, due to the high yield courtyard enemies and decent return from the low-risk enemies just beyond

Blood Vials/Quicksilver Bullets: Cathedral Ward, which isn't too bad echoes-wise either due to the giants.

A little earlier,
lecture hall
nets me 40k echoes and some sedatives, bullets and possibly a chunk in 2-3 minutes. Even with loading times and flipping back and forth with baseball, I just leveled up 8-10 times in the last hour.

Hey man, still try to spoiler this type of stuff please.

Not sure where to go. I just beat
Vicar Amelia
and appear to have three options for my next location:
Hypogean Goal (got the Tonitrus already) and either Right or Left out of Grand Cathedral. One route takes me to a large, round swamp, and the other had two hunters who I managed to defeat, but that's as far as I went)
. Recommendations?

in new game plus I get a tad less than 100k in like 30-40 sec. Use bold hunter marks to make it effective.

Can someone explain the slow poison gems? I don't seem to be getting anything out of them. Do you need a certain Arcane level?

I've got gems to get it to over 10 according to that bottom bar.

Do not go past the area where you beat the
two hunters...trust me

Man those 3 hunters can eat a bag of dicks. They can feed each other. Whats the best way to defeat these assholes?

you can lure it back to the first lamp or run around the stairs and just charge (rinse repeat). I took them all at once lol and only killed one. Which made it easier since they do not respawn.

From the nearest lamp,
kill all the enemies on your way to them, two dogs, rifleman, bell maiden, etc., etc. Afterward, aggro the hunters and then run back as if you're going back to the lamp. Upstairs there is side area where it's like a small garden with those trees, where you can drop down directly on top of the rifleman. They tend not to come all the way up to there, so you can pick off one to two of them there. At least, that's how I did it.

You don't need Arcane. They behave the same way as poison does on you. The higher slow poison resist an enemy has, the more hits it will take before the poison triggers on the enemy. Basically, you just need to do enough hits in a certain amount of time, dependent on the enemy's poison resist, to trigger then effect.

Two of them followed me
all the way back to the laser spider creature just outside the spawn lamp.

Try to hang them up on the geometry right before the lamp, where those trees are. There's a small fence that acts like a barrier. They got stuck there, for me.

oh god, layer 3 of Fetid, Rotten Lower Loran Chalice is no goddamn joke.

I opened a door and a
Sage and a half dozen spiders
jumped out all at once.

Tonight's progress....

3 Hunters
The One Reborn (easy as hell)
Made it to Micolash. Took him to half health easy. He tricked me though and his skeletons ganged up on me when he closed the gate. Tomorrow mother fucker!!!

Haven't finished the game yet, so no idea if this is in, though I doubt it going by previous games by From.
A boss rush mode would be amazing.

Is there any reason NOT to go to NG+ if you're working on the platinum? I'm scared of F-ing myself over.

There's a particular material you can only get near the end of the game that is required to do the final chalice dungeon for the Plat.

It's the
Living String
from the
Mother Brain
at the
Nightmare of Mensis
. You may wish to make sure you have that before you start NG+ so you don't have to grab it to progress.

Got it already. Thanks! Just being a wuss.

The easiest way is to run down to jail cell, open the door, run in, close the door and use a weapon with long range to hit them through the bars

You're right.

You can also charge attack / visceral the one on the spiral staircase from behind the opposite side and finish the fight down there without attention. Then charge attack / visceral the claw guy in the middle using the column to block the view of the one by the entrance. Lastly, just go fight the 3rd one easy now that the other two will dream no more.

I am quite surprised that no one pointed the "get back to the prison cell, close the door, and poke them from the inside since they're too stupid to open the door" tactic to you yet.

You still need to be careful about their gunshots though but their damage if they hit you is very manageable.

I visceraled the claw dude in the middle then ran like a little school boy to that tree area. Once they went back to their places, I visceraled him again and killed him. Gonna do that to the Spiral guy. I was trying to find him.

I did try to hightail it to the prison location. But that area had werewolf, and the hunters were on my ass. I ran like a headless chicken trying to find a spot until they gangbanged me.

Looking out from the Lamp into the room he is under the right side so walk up behind him from the left.

The prison where you were first taken in the Hypolean (wtf how to spell this lol) Gaol, you can just head back there and close the door. They won't be able to enter and thus unable to surround you and you can just kill them one by one from the inside.

Alternatively you can run back to the lamp area and *immediately* stand on the wall beside the door; they tend to stuck there not entering the area and you can also then poke them one by one using say Ludwig's thrust.

OOh I was thinking of the cell later down the way.

do you need to have a certain insight level to get items at the insight messenger?

For the majority of the game I have only had 'consumables', and some gear after i have beaten certain hunters. Otherwise it has been a wasteland.

I have been pretty much under 30 this whole time. (have a shitload of madman knowledge which I havnt used, but thats because I dont want to ramp up the difficulty)

You need 10 insight to be able to shop there. You can go under 10 while shopping, but as soon as you exit the menu, the messengers will retreat. There isn't a whole lot to get there.

To make them appear you need 10. You can then use up that 10 if you wish but you need at least 10 to make them appear again after you exit the shop.

Also, that hand lantern slower stamina regeneration is retarded. There is NO indication whatsoever that the hand lantern can cause that and yet there we go, something that can have a huge impact in battles happening without the game being upfront about it.

then whats up with the lack of items? Pretty much every category is empty besides consumables.

Im at this part of the game
JUST beat the one reborn

Yeah, there isn't a lot to get. As you progress through the chalice dungeons you can get the materials. It was actually quite disappointing.

this almost exactly what I did last night!
