Leaked Battlefront info (40 players, heroes, free Ep7 DLC, FPS & TPS) [Full Screens]

People are already calling this game barebones....

Wait for them to reveal everything before jumping to conclusions like that lol.

Massive face-palm. So bizarre that people would call a sequel to a ten year old game barebones for lacking several of its notable features (unless some of the reports coming out are inaccurate).

4 planets can be multiple maps easily

just looking at what's been offered previously,

jabbas palace/boat, mos eisley cantina and the dune sea

bespin city platforms and the cloud city

hoth snow area and inside of echo base, etc

will they be interesting is a bigger discussion, but the lowest amount of maps in a Battlefield base game has been like 5 (in vietnam, 9 in a main game) and I see them sticking to a number around the average (8-10)

the first game had 16 maps over 10 planets and no space so I dunno man

Why not include less maps per planet and more planets? The fact that Bespin and Coruscant won't be there is a little weird. But I'm not taking it as confirmation until DICE says so themselves. If they do 4 planets then I'd hope the maps are really varied in terms of terrain and design.

Wow, looks great. I would kinda disappointed if they didn't do a single player even though DICE suck at them more or less, got to get it right one day.

So, 3rd person means no ADS ? Time to follow 343 :p

Space Battles? Pff we have No Man Sky for that, I'll just imagine I'm playing the Star Wars universe some John Williams Score in the background. Everything else sounds ok I guess.

It's sad...

Used to be, "HOLY SHIT THERE IS A STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT GAME?! SWEEEET!" Now it's like, "OH SHIT THERE IS A STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT GAME? ... meh, but it doesnt have _____ and only has 2 of ____ and you can see aliasing on the back tree and it should have more ____ and why doesnt it have ____ also ____ is so overdone"

I have to agree, I'm guilty of it personally. I'll wait for full reveal and share just some of my thoughts. But it's great that EA is making this game and should be fun regardless

I'm happy that there's 3rd-person

i really enjoy this...lets compare games that do exist to those who don't

or just compare games that exist to my imagination

It's comparing the planned features for one game to what the planned features for another were, the game didn't get released but it existed in some form. It was a game that was in development and to me, based on what was shown, was likely going to be more like a proper Battlefront game than this seems to be so far.

I could not stand even half of Battlefield campaing. That said, just bring a co-op mode and a strong and fun competitive multiplayer and I'll pre order it right away.

Guys, you can fly the goddamn Millennium Falcon!

Why do people not appreciate this?

Are people seriously complaining about not being able to actively drive an ATAT?

Who wants to sit in an ATAT and hold W or push the stick forward for 45 minutes.

I'll never understand why people feel that a campaign is required for a "complete" product. Campaigns are nice, sure, but I'd rather take a multiplayer focused experience (which Battlefront is) being the target rather than some half assed campaign we've seen 80 times before, then play once and never again.

Yeah, this game is like having sex for the first time. First you are excited but then it's very short and disappointing.

There are many good things here, but it's so little in it's scope.(Based on the given info)

Trust you, based on what? No need to presume what the developer can and can't do if you don't have insider knowledge.

That was a tongue-in-cheek comment towards some of the half-assed stuff DICE has implemented into their Battlefield games--I didn't really mean anything serious by it. I'll remove it if it bothers you.

GAF finally Unlocked my account after all this time. I can Post now yehhhhhhh. And My 1st Post on a Battlefront thread .. Awesome

I'm surprised so many people are upset about no campaign. I guess it never occurred to me that there would be a full fledged story driven campaign completely different from the multiplayer.

DICE thought they could have a building fall down without the servers crashing

if DICE thinks they could do something and fail miserably, DICE thinking "we can't do this" is for the best.

I think was his point

I don't understand why people are complaining about the lack of space dogfighting. That would put battles MILES away from the ground troops, essentially turning it into two separate matches. You'd might as well be playing Tie Fighter with a different group of people altogether while the ground forces are playing Battlefront.

It's not a sequel though. There's a very specific reason there's no 3 in the title.

This game is made by a totally different developer with only trace hints of influence from the Pandemic games.

This is DICE making their own Battlefront, not DICE making the third Pandemic Battlefront.

All that being said, I will choose to withhold final judgement on how featured the game is until we actually hear more about it. Leaks from a small gameplay session eight months before the game comes out are useless.

Some of you really need some perspective.

Okay, I'm not onboard either train yet to be honest, but you want to talk perspective?

We are in a gaming age where publishers push an inordinate amount of DLC upon its players.

DICE's last title, Battlefield 4, launched in a terrible state that took months to fix to an acceptable rate.

This is an EA published game. Enough said.

Launching games in an unacceptable state has become common place in our industry.

Launching MP games with a...light amount of content has been occuring at an increased rate.

As a result, gamers are becoming concerned about the amount of content they are truly getting for their money.

On top of that, this is Star Wars which features a fanbase that is rabid as best.

So, that is the perspective where many come from in our current gaming landscape. So, its not surprising that some are standing back and raising an eyebrow at the information presented to us (that was presented to us by the developer themselves).

We all know the Battlefront equivalent of air supremacy DLC is coming.
