Rise of the Empire -- as it's been stated multiple times already -- was just re-purposed multiplayer maps with voiceovers/cutscenes in between.

sharing assets with multiplayer doesn't make it NOT a campaign, though. It's still a story driven campaign with objectives and mission structures.

40 players max is a joke. I was expecting massive battles with 64 players at the very least, and possibly even hundreds. Even the old Battlefront games supported 64 on PC.

The lack of a campaign doesn't bother me one bit, though. Campaigns in these games are never good, ever.

Battlefront 1 had more than four planets, on the PS2, in fucking 2004

Battlefront 2 had space battles, once again on the rickety ass playstation 2, as well as more than four planets, in 2006.

stop making excuses for this shit. I'm not asking them to move mountains, I'm asking for things that were expected a decade ago.

Exponentially more effort is required to make a map that lives up to modern graphical standards vs that of a game released a decade ago.

The graphical fidelity is so much greater than Battlefront 2. I'm having trouble determining if you and others are trolling or just have a very unrealistic concept in your heads of how games are made.

The campaign in BF2 wasn't barebones by any measure. Trying to paint it as such to in some way diminish its worth because the new BF doesn't have a campaign is just ridiculous in the extreme.

No singleplayer campaign... gah. I really liked those in Battlefront. In BF2 with crazy Hero use they were really a blast.

Now my entire interest in Star Wars: Battlefield lies on the Hero implementation.
