Leaked Battlefront info (40 players, heroes, free Ep7 DLC, FPS & TPS) [Full Screens]

I'm getting Premium day 1 for this game.

If it's anything like BF3 and BF4 Premium, we're going to get a lot of new planets, maps, game modes and weapons/gadgets.

And with a Star Wars context and with the new movie coming out, fuck

New gadgets...just imagine

I really hope they have some kind of premium edition with similar amount of content as BF4.

I'm sure there will be. I know people hate DLC, but premium was amazing. They were expansion packs for BF4. So much good content.

Agreed. Not to mention when they package the game and premium at an even lower price. Premium pretty much equals out to double the map count does it not?

I'm surprised the game isn't already up for preorder on Amazon. I mean, this is EA we're talking about. I just want to put it on my wish list for someday

I'm a little worried since they had so little development time.

If anything premium like is on our way we can expect an announcement at E3.

*fingers crossed*

"We don’t have a traditional single player story, but our Star Wars Battlefront Missions deliver carefully crafted moments inspired by the films that let you live out your battle fantasies."

Is anyone else concerned that this game is being being rushed due to the upcoming Star Wars flick?

The folks at EA (and DICE) know damned well that if they shove it out the door by the time the movie hits theaters, regardless whether or not it's truly ready, it will sell a metric shit ton of copies.

I don't know why I hadn't given it much thought before, but I saw someone mention it on another forum and thought to myself, "Wow, that's a great point and very concerning."

It's had a 2,5 year long development with DICE's huge team... I don't think time is a problem here.

I have no worries about it bring rushed because they've elected to focus on one time period, and the most important aspect of Battlefront; the ground combat.

If they'd announced space battles and everything else, then I'd be worried.

I'm sure EA set the holiday 2015 deadline a long time ago. Dice will have had less than two years of dev time when all is said and done, which is pretty short compared to normal AAA development schedules. The scope of the game has been adjusted accordingly, and I suspect that's why we're missing space battles and limited to four locations.

That's good to know, but we saw how Battlefield 4 turned out even after a reasonably lengthy development. I just hope we aren't in for another disastrous launch! It would suck horribly to see this game underdeliver purely because it was released too soon.

Well, they're shipping this game on less platforms as well, I'm sure that helps.

The good thing that came from BF4's disaster of a launch is that EA pretty much turned that game into a beta test for future Frostbite games. I'm sure that all of the improvements made to the engine by DICE LA (the keepers of BF4 right now) will be applied to Battlefront, just like they helped Hardline have a very stable launch.

I'm afraid but there probably won't be a premium edition. Otherwise it would make no sense that you can pre-order the standard and deluxe edition now. :/

It's funny, there's only one piece of news that's dropped today that's an improvement on Battlefront 2 in this game. The graphics will be pretty. That's the only detail that sounds like an improvement to me. Every other piece of news has been things that are kept the same like 3rd/1st person, vehicles being a thing, heroes, no ADS(don't get me wrong, that's positive news at least), or things that have been removed like environment variety, probably Gal con, space missions, AT-AT's going on scripted paths and bot missions replacing a campaign. I don't know why people are so positive about this.

I mean, I'm still in to buy it day 1, but I have to honestly ask what people think will be better than Battlefront 2 besides graphics based on what we were told today?

Stealth edit: Oh yeah, I forgot. They also increased the player count by 8.

I'm kind of hyped for this, and considering the fact that this isn't crossgen like BF4 was or DA:I, and the fact they are using PBR and Photogrammetry I won't be surprised if it looks as good as they've shown.

I don't expect a downgrade but I do expect a fucked up launch period and for the game to be pretty buggy for awhile as per DICE standards.

That said, Battlefront WOOO!

Still a huge bummer there will be no space flights in the game, hopefully they will have that for the season pass or something.

That cinematic trailer hit all the right buttons though... Not going to lie as a huge fan of the OT.
