OK I wanna make a bit of an unusual request.
I just got to the N
M
and while I like figuring out ambiguous details as much as the next guy, I'm finding myself completely confused as to what has been happening story-wise.
Can anyone help me out with the following lore questions? Please PLEASE keep in mind my place in the game and avoid spoilers that happen afterwards. Just say "you're not supposed to know that yet" or something.

Why do the half-beast villagers exclaim "It's all your fault!"?
What happened in that cutscene after killing Vicar Amelia?
Who or what is Pale Blood?
It sounds to me like "the night of the hunt" is something that used to happen every once in a while, but this time it's much worse for some reason?
Why is an Old Workshop so important that it became the Hunter's Dream?
Who was that guy in the wheelchair just before fighting Rom?
What the hell was that "fall into a lake" stuff to fight Rom? Where is that physically?
What is this "newborn baby" business?
What were they doing during that ritual in the unseen village the first time you go there?
The second time you go there after killing Rom, what the hell is going on? Why are there giant man spiders everywhere and why does if look like everyone was burned to the walls?
I entered a "nightmare" in Mensis? I thought I was already dreaming? Am I Inceptioning and "going deeper"? Are the events in the Nightmare actually real?
Am I understanding it right that essentially this whole thing is brought about by this society obsessing over injecting themselves with "miracle" foreign bloods and causing people to go mad and mutate? Kinda like a Victorian Era Bioshock?
And that it all originated in Byrgenwerth by a bunch of scholars who didn't heed Jeff Goldblum's advice of not doing it just because they could?
What did I inject myself with at the start of the game and why?
