A CityWalk screening? Good grief, that will be a madhouse.

I think you might be better off...you and I both know how ridiculous CityWalk is (and I ALWAYS had a problem getting parking validated)

That's why I didn't do it. Parking at city walk is expensive and it's probably packed right now. A friend of mine flew in from a business trip. Drove straight from LAX to CityWalk for this.

Gotta admit I enjoyed the trailer more in theaters. The opening voices are spread throughout the entire sound stage and it's just interesting to hear them wafting through the air. The final imax shots looked amazing; I yelled "Jesus Christ!" at the how much imposing Affleck is in the combat suit.

Snyder's second intro said "Alright, let's play it again, but this time pay attention to the aspect ratio changing for the final scenes." As lukewarm as I am on Snyder I can't help but be impressed by his excitement about the tech.

Lmao tha fuck. Even for a early screening that is obscene. Anyway, less than 6 minutes to go here. Footage expectations tempered. Let's gooooo.

Please tell me Batman is supposed to be a ninja in this one. Never cared for the walking tank mentality of Miller's garbage comic. Dude looks like he should be in a wrestling ring.

Thats one of the biggest gripes I have. I absolutely loathe Frank Miller's gorilla Batman. The entire story/art was trash imo.

I would say the theater was nearly half-full when Snyder was finally on screen. Personally, I'm glad. It will make getting a good seat much easier when I see it a week before everyone else. Oh, and I liked the trailer

Also remember that the trailer wasn't exactly supposed to leak ahead of time before their little fan event :P That definitely took the wind out of the sails for this whole thing.

I still can't believe they didn't screen this at Lincoln Square in NYC. Why leave out the biggest and best IMAX screen in the country!?

Except... they did?

Maybe it was sold out before you saw?

Anyhow, I mean the event was lessened by the leak

Was cool to see teaser on big-screen

Real treat was of course the two posters and free IMAX ticket for film next year

I forgot with the forced official release and ensuing online reaction. Zack Snyder's unchanged intro was a reminder this was to be the first showing. Tbh the ticket pushed me to tag along with a friend but seeing it in Imax before May 1st was nice.

The nice thing about showing up and the theater being nearly empty:

The week-in-advance screening next year will be just as empty! No showing up an hour early for seats. And tickets are $0 instead of $17. Mmmmm.

...

Damn, I kinda am glad I went now.

Imagine Affleck's Batman facing off this crazy man

Powerful AS FUCK

I watched the trailer for the first time at this event. So awesome!

I'm glad I waited.

Also, I now have some sweet posters for my home theater and get to see the movie a week early for free. Great gesture for the hardcore fans. Not sure why people are complaining.

Extra scene looked like it took place in the train station from MoS and it was the two clashing briefly. Super quick, and cool looking, but nothing you're missing out on.

I'm honestly really glad I waited to see this in Imax. The stereo sound during the talking heads voice over alone was superb. And Affleck nails the look of Batman and Bruce. So damn good.
