Well I need 1 more trophy to get my platinum. I need to kill that last queen in the chalice dungeon. I'm stuck on headless blood starved beast. I'm not sure if I'm getting antsy or just anxious about the platinum but it's giving me hell.
 
head's up for anyone starting out/still generally @ the beginning:

in the Cathedral Ward, you can farm the Werewolf in the secret/hidden 'dark room' underneath the crypt for blood shards (and $$, while you're at it)! \m/

You're so close. Keep cool and use the same strategy you used to beat the first version.

I'm level 100 now (and plan on staying it), so 100 once I tackle it. Just started defiled chalice. You get so much echos, it's hard to not become 100.

Omg guys idk if it was this latest Firmware update or what but im getting pretty consistent pvp now. Maybe a 1 to 2 minute wait in Mergo's loft @ level 95 and in the community pvp chalice Hizzngr3
 
Just got the platinum trophy! The chalice dungeons by far are the hardest part of the game. So much fun though! Easily one of the best games I have played recently. Bring on some DLC! On to NG+!

Welcome to the club. NG+ is going to be a walk in the park compared to chalice dungeons. Use those runes you undoubtedly found. It feels like depth 5 dungeons are the equivalent of NG++ or NG+++.

Congrats that might be me tonight or tomorrow at the latest.

Wish I did the chalice stuff at the end of my first run since I missed Living String so I had to binge NG+ in a day :P

I don't know the tell for the charge attack. And how are you dodging it? I was having luck tearing her ass up from the side, but now she does damn near 360 degree attacks when I'm that close.

I've only encountered the lasers four times, and LOL @ the first three attempts to get away.

Right path when you look at the front door of the grand cathedral. Drop down the roof then on the left drop down again to the deadend. Big giant spiders hand will pick you up and take you to another place.

, the corpsewolf on the stairs started getting me again, so I'm calling it a night. Feeling kinda done with this game how much longer do I have after
Rom?
 
What does "vs kin" and "vs beast" include exactly? vs kin = Humans and vs beast = everything else in the game? What about zombies / skeletons and the like?

Yeah I think entering Forbidden Woods make her disappear... Sorry dude. I hate that too, but I got her storyline to work in NG++.

I think they are as well. NG++ difficulty at least.
 
I didn't play much of the chalices since it was boring, but now that I've beaten the game and am craving more, I kinda regret selling all my chalice parts for potions :P

On NG+, after the first encounter with him in the room, he disappears. and you find him again, run after him, then he drops down a hole in the floor before running to the last room where the gate closes and you gotta find him again.

Well, before he could run to that last room, when I dropped through the floor, I landed on his head, knocked him down and finished the fight in the hallway. First time I'd ever seen that, was kinda fun. xD

This game keeps on delivering.

I missed out on a weapon late in the game, so I'm on NG++ and speed running through to get there. I got to and beat Father G in, at the most, 10 minutes.

Beat the Ailing Loran Chalice. Since beating NG+,
Abhorrent Beast
has been the most difficult and scary challenge. Threaded cane proves usefulness yet again! Tip:
For AB's first form, I suggest dodging into his attack so you can be behind for an attack. Second form do that then dodge again, then attack. Third, back dash three times, or do the dodge technique but three times and position behind him.

Are any further bosses harder than that?
 
so im on my first NG+ playthrough and i got to A

. how the F am i supposed to kill her without the numbing mist?! they are all gone and i cant buy them with insight. i cant stun her fast enough when shes healing. by the time shes done, shes back up to over 50%.

the Chalice bosses are worth playing.

How are you guys platinuming it without getting to NG++? Just using new characters each time?
 
Woot! Another three bosses down! total comes to:

Cleric beast, Bloodstarved beast, Vicar Amelia, Father G, Witch, shadows, Rom, C. Emasary, Darkbeast P and One Reborn.

Need to farm up another two chunks to get my holy blade to +9, then its off to ether
the nightmare frontier/SPOILER] or finishing the final fight on the crow hunter questline.

I've never had to speak to her outside Cathedral Ward. I spoke to her in Central Yarnham, killed
Amelia & BSB
then fought Henryk with her in the Tomb. Once she survives this encounter she appears at the Cathedral after
Rom
. I speak with her until she has nothing new to say.

Kin is
aliens
and beast is beasts. Everything else has no weakness/multiplier.
