I feel like I'm there. I've been a fan for the longest time. Started watching several years ago, and would do almost religiously. There would never be an event that I'd miss. Recently, however, I've noticed that I'm not getting into most of the fights/events for some reason. It started in 2014, I believe. I guess it has something to do with fights not living upto the hype and some of my favourite fighters leaving and then some.

2014 was HORRIBLY weak for UFC, and I thought it would turn around for them in 2015, but little has so far. Sure, there's a cool fight here and there, but there was a time when cards would deliver through and through, and I can't remember the last card that rocked socks off.

Is anyone feeling the same lately?

Essentially every main card having to be reshuffled due to athletes getting caught with PED's has really tarnished the UFC's momentum.

Still leagues ahead of boxing, though.

Yeah, I've been a fan since I got UFC6 on Laserdisc but slowed my watching right down around 2012 and haven't really got back into since.

Not really. I mean fighting, i don’t care what color you are, or what language you speak, or what country you live it, we’re all human beings and fighting’s in our DNA. We get it and we like it.

Before a guy ever hit a ball with a bat, or a ball went through a hoop, there were two guys on this planet and somebody threw a punch, and anybody who was standing around was watching it. It translates across all different barriers, and this will be the biggest sport in the world.

You can say what you want about this weeks card, but let me tell you, this kid Horiguchi is fucking nasty. Hes a stud. He could win this. And Demetrius Johnson is,arguably, the greatest pound for pound fighter in the world today. Its gonna be a fantastic fight.

Very much so. I used to be a huge fan, but nearly all of the transcendent fighters are gone.

The flagship weight class, Light heavyweight, has the most unlikeable douche known to the sport dominating it, and every other weight class has all of the unique stars getting long in the tooth or are being phased out completely.

I still watch all of the numbered cards, but I very rarely pay attention to the Fight Nights anymore, and I haven't touched Sherdog in a year.

Clearly there isn't enough events to keep you satisfied.

I mean just look at this banger of a card tomorrow. If that's not worth $60, I don't know what is.

Ronda, Mouse and Bones are helping it stay together but yeah, all the notable names are gone or retired.

Last Saturday had impressive bouts though.

I know what you're saying. I love MMA as a sport. It's just that I've been disappointed a lot by the recent UFC offerings. Well, since last year atleast.

Spread too thin.

I'm more hyped for McGregor's fight than I was Wrestlemania or the fixing that is Manny v Mayweather. Outside of that I'm pretty much done with UFC, WWE and boxing.

UFC died when GSP, a.k.a. the Greatest Champion the sport has ever and will ever see, left because of all the PED users getting away with cheating when they were training to fight him.

Luckily there is A New Hope fighting in June. A better and classier type of fighter that goes by the name of Conor McGregor.

Yeah, I started losing interest when all the big-time fighters I enjoyed watching started going downhill (BJ, Spider, Crocop, etc.) and every PPV turned into a bunch of people I've never heard of before and one fight with someone I had.

im not i still watch most of the events even ones that seem like stinkers. i think their problem is they have way too many events and having too many fighters could be a huge problem too. there are only a handful of known fighters and the rest are a bunch of fighter no one has heard of

Eh, the fad has died down amongst the casual but the cards haven't been too great either.

incidentally, I'm going to watch ufc 186 in the bell center tomorrow!!

I think THAT is the problem. Way, way too many events. Cards spread way too much. That, and fights not delivering like they should. Anderson's return, as an example. Was the most hyped up fight, and was going to get me back into the fray, but it left me incredibly disappointed.

I know my group of UFC friends and family I watch with have spent less money, and pay less attention than when we were watching 7 years ago. So many events. So many chances of a drug test failure. But the big name fighters still draw the interest.

Lost interest sometime early in 2013. Last fight I saw was Silva vs the other dude when Silva's shin snapped in half which was in late 2013.

It's dead to me

GSP retiring and Ando losing in the same year was too much for me to take, now I just spend my UFC time hoping Jones loses. I'm a Bendo fan but he doesn't seem like the same fighter as before. Cruz is a great fighter but he cant catch a break.

Hype has definitely deflated for me. Like others have said, with all of the events UFC now hold, things are spread pretty thin. Certain cards I have no interest whatsoever in watching.

The only big star left is Bones and he's an unlikable douche. And he's not even in an unlikable douche in the you want to see him lose way.
