I haven't heard the player character talk once. That's concerning to me. Shulk was the least offensive MC I've played in a LONG time.

Judging from what the trailers and promotional videos focus on, people who want to play an open world mech rpg.

No idea. In Xenoblade, specific battles that required certain characters present locked them into the active party before a battle started.

People seem to be missing the main issue here. The fact that the developers thought it would be fine to be able to dress a very underage girl in scantily clothing, solely for the sex appeal, is the issue. This is hardly the only game that does this as others have indeed pointed out, but the fact that the gaming community seemingly ignores the larger issue here is really what bothers me. It really promotes an immature view of the community that has failed in shaking off it's stereotypical image, and certainly doesn't help with how women are viewed in the industry (something else that has been an issue lately). So really, for the community to move forward with how it treats and views women, it shouldn't be so accepting of things like Lyn's absolutely ridiculous outfit.

Not so descriptive but I found this translated tweet. While not encompassing what we imagined we'd have here, it gives a bit of an idea of what to expect. Also should have known it applies to all party members. Nonetheless, not too pleased with the design personally. Not gonna use it for sure (never wanted to equip swimsuits for anyone in Xenoblade).

Awful crap? Didn't know Nicki Minaj produced some songs for the OST. 8P

But you're right some songs aren't as good as others. But if you look deep down in your heart...thats the case with every soundtrack. Even some of the tracks for the first Xeno Chronicles weren't any good.

Isn't the actual issue that they didn't make a specialized modesty-mode version of this female equipment for Lyn? You're making it sound like they made it just for her, calling it "Lyn's outfit."

Hell, she's taller than a 13 year old probably because that made it easier for them to make her compatible with everyone else's armor.

Yeah I imagine it will be censored in some fashion. I do understand gender roles and views are different in Japan, but that doesn't necessarily make them correct, especially in today's world.

Man, its times like this I wish I could read Japanese and the Wii U wasn't region locked. Will there ever be a day when we get worldwide releases for things? It really gets annoying to wait 3 or 4 months after a game releases, you want so much, has to be translated for your language. Why not do that when developing the game so everyone gets it day 1??
