Sheed is still one of the best defensive bigs in the NBA, and more importantly, he defends Dwight Howard better than anyone in the league.

If the Lakers would resign their free agents then Sheed doesn't matter when it comes to Dwight. Or didn't you see that Dwight was befuddled like no other in the finals with the Lakers D?

Danny Ferry...Danny Ferry. This was the first picture that popped up when I googled his name.

Shut up Konex.

This is a lose lose situation for Bron Bron. Why? If they win with Shaq (they won't) then everyone will do to Lebron what they did to Kobe (can't win without Shaq). If they don't win then Lebron hears "Dude can't even win with Shaq which Kobe and Wade did". Have fun Bron Bron. You can always wear your "LB23 MVP" t-shirt each year when there is another person with the Finals MVP! :lol :lol :lol

Sheed wouldn't be a good fit with the Lakers, but with the Spurs he'd be huge in that he wouldn't have to be the main guy or have any responsibilites other than to compliment the great Timmy and his elves Manu/Parker/Jefferson.

Yep. Sheed really isn't too scary on anyone but the Spurs. He fits in with the Spur system like Hedo does in Orlando's.

Shaq is so calm about his ability to defend D12 even though he is going to foul out of almost every game in that series if it comes down to that.

So potentially, you could have

West/Williams/James/Artest/O'Neal

vs

Nelson/Carter/Pietrus/Lewis/Howard

vs

Fisher/Ariza/Bryant/Gasol/Bynum

vs

Parker/Ginobili/Jefferson/Duncan/Sheed

vs

Rondo/Allen/Pierce/Garnett/Perkins

...goddamn.

More likely:

Fisher/Bryant/Odom/Gasol/Bynum

Also probable:

Rondo/Allen/Pierce/Garnett/Sheed

If Lakers lose both Odom and Ariza, say bye bye to any type of championship run. I am assuming that they won't as Kobe wouldn't resign without assurance that they will resign at least one of the guys.

If the Lakers signs Artest, Kobe will never ever leave. If there's one guy who can fire up the at times lackluster Lakers defense, it's Artest. And if there's any coach who can contain Artest's erratic shooting in this league, it's Phil.

Hot damn.

The disparity between the elite and everyone else will be hilarious next year. Expect a lot of blowouts.

From what I heard the Rockets were going to re-sign him, i.e. Artest going back. Hopefully I am wrong...

Shaq's on ESPN basically saying "Hello Ron, Hello Trevor, come join me" and wants either of them to come to Cle. lmao

"When I'm done playing I'll have 4 (pause) or 5 rings"

:lol :lol

Don't pretend like that Celtics team wasn't easily the better team in that series. They were just learning how to play with one another in the playoffs.

Even going into game 7, no one expected the Celts to lose. Just a case of a team underperforming for various reasons.

sheed will come off the bench. Perkins is the better defender.

..maybe. Good chance Sheed will start.

I still think San Antonio is the most likely destination.

also probable =/= most likely

But I'm sure in about two pages every single one of your posts will contain in someway the following or a variation of:

"LOL you guaranteed Sheed to Celtics"

"Sheed the Beast of da East is now Best of da West, double team, post threat lolol!"

:lol

Of course they were the better team, but expecting tons of blowouts is stupid. Part of the reason is the second sentence you just wrote.

Actual Rudy quotes, nothing to be worried about for Portland fans I think since Im sure Rudy will be more featured in the offense this coming year, but still:

"Turkoglu es un exterior más y estamos hablando de casi seis para dos posiciones. Esto me hace pensar que el equipo no me da espacio para mi trabajo, he demostrado que podía tener más protagonismo"[/quote

Turkoglu plays on the perimeter and were talking about almost 6 players for two positions. This makes me think that the team isnt giving me space for my job and Ive shown that I could be more featured on the offense.

"Me he sorprendido con los minutos que he jugado pero si ahora fichan un jugador en mi posición me parará la progresión y yo lo que quiero son minutos para ir para arriba"

I was surprised with the minutes I played, but if they hire a player in my position it will stop my development and what I want are minutes in order to move up

Im just saying, sheed has done some mans work against the best bigs in the league.. His matchups with Duncan are always fun to watch.

Not saying he always plays straight up...but its as close as it gets. Kendrick is the same mold, no doubt.

*sigh* Sheed and Timmy were the 2 best defensive bigs of the generation and neither of them got a DPOY. So sad.

Sheed defended Timmy better than anyone I have ever seen. Of course, Timmy would still beast on him, but if you watched the games, you'd know he worked hard for every bucket.

Maybe its just shitty coaching? I could see Sheed playing his balls off for Pop, or Phil

That was the problem.

Sheed gets up for big games when he is on a good team. When he sees a bad coach, lacks direction, and doesn't believe in his team's ability to win, he really doesn't care. That shouldn't be a problem with almost anywhere he would land.

He is really good friends with both Duncan and Garnett. I don't know about Doc, but Pop already has an extensive relationship with him. He won't be a problem in the locker room, and I doubt motivation will be an issue. In fact, I suspect he will give motivation to his teammates more often than take it.

He's making that shit up. He is happy as hell, man. Kevin > Rudy.
