You know, I was supposed to receive my copy today from Amazon.

The courier has not arrived yet, Amazon sent me an email yesterday informing that I would receive it today.

If I don't receive it today i am going to be REALLY pissed!

With their "group as friends" update in August they better allow a 2 stack in the same room to be able to play matches online.

Be pissed if you don't get it tomorrow. There's some of us who will have to wait longer because amazon fucked up the stock or didn't send it out in time for release. If you get it tomorrow instead of today you're still lucky and getting great service.
 
Out of town this weekend, but I'm still picking it up Friday. Can't wait for Sunday night :)

I really hope they add split screen online play at some point, but I'm not holding my breath.
 
That rush when you get ten consecutive kills and your team's paint ratio is a good 70% and rising with seconds to go.

There really is nothing like this game, ever.

Does the tutorial mode require to be online?
I was thinking of getting a Wii U for my niece with Splatoon, so that at least she and her brothers could play it offline.

What tutorial mode? I thought you're asking about the local 1v1 mode?

Battle Dojo, the local 1v1 mode, is an offline mode and thus obviously doesn't require you to be online.

Don't forget that there is also a full singleplayer story campaign to play through.

No but you aren't missing much. It's just the same missions played with the roller or sniper or giant squid form. No timer or different ennemy locations that I know of.
 
great game but it's the first time ever i wish a game had been delayed.
playing the same map 6 times in a row gets old fast.
why the hell don't they add one new map, have 6 total and then have 3 on rotation each time.
I really feel that the lack of maps will trip them up unless they get a few new ones out soonish.

Don't understimate multiplayers games otherwise Mobas would've not lived a long life.

I don't get why they put you on the same map over and over and over. When your'e in with a group, you're in with them. Why not alternate maps? map 1 then 2 then 1 then 2. Keep things fresh?

And there is room for 3 maps in the cycle box thing, why not juts have 3 in there anyway and just keep one over for the next cycle? The lack of variety is going to kill the game I think. People will get fed up with having to quit out and join back up hoping to play the other map instead of the one they've just played 5 times in a row and just quit.

They just need to fix their algorithm so that you don't play the same map more than twice in a row. Happened during the Testfire too. I think I played Saltspray rig 3-4 times in a row.

I had my doubts about the rotation method at first, but the way the game glues you to the maps for periods at a time, keeping them fresh in your head, seems to encourage greater focus on formulating strategies than flipping through them indifferently as one might in a regular shooter. For example if I see an opportunity to counter a rival team's strategy at the end of the game, I'll want to put it into practice there and then, rather than play a different map and change strategies again.

Of course, the game is going to benefit from new stages significantly, and it seems that there's a spot for a third map in the rotation box, so we'll see.

For now though, I think it's enough.

Seeing this I just found surprising in the game the character traits of both, the designs deceived me a little.
Thought Callie was going to be the serious one and Marie just really shy.

But nope, Callie is the really fun one trying to make jokes when presenting the maps, while Callie has to tell her to stop telling jokes sometimes and get to work.

Well I find it strange that a EAD developped game has a less than ideal framerate. Why just in the plazza? Not a big deal but weird. Or is it just jarring because the rest is 60fps and so it's more noticeable when it's not?
