Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection announced, October 9th, UC4 MP beta access

The collection is great but no multiplayer sucks. I love Uncharted multiplayer so much, i played U2 multi as much as i did for Gears. It's really good, its only problem back in the days was the no party chat but otherwise the multiplayer is awesome.

I think the multiplayer in U4 has a chance to be big since the PS4 has the social features to pull something great !

Cannot wait !!!!!!!!!

The most interesting part is that they wanted to announce the game today rather than at E3. It would've been announced there had it may be a barren/underwhelming conference.
So this gives some indication of how good there conference will be.

Sorry if this has been posted here before, but what work has Bluepoint done in the past? First I've heard of them.

God Of War HD
Team Ico HD
Metal Gear HD

They're outstanding at HD remasters, each of those easily became the best versions of the game to play.

Considering UC4 was originally Holiday 2015, I can see why this collection never intentionally had MP included. Still sucks but I doubt UC4 slipping ever meant this was gonna get MP...

Im pretty much only buying it because of Bluepoints involvement once it hits a decent price

I've never played Uncharted at all (never had a PS3) and I'm not a big MP person so I'll probably bite on this. (almost) 3 very well respected games for the price of one, seems like a good deal.

Making an E3 prediction here--- "Oh and one more thing-- Yes, multiplayer is remastered and included, just as you remember it on the PS3" -- *drops mic.

Yep, that's the big surprise.

I have no clue what I'm talking about

Not porting multiplayer for older games makes sense with the new game coming out ~ 4 months later where 95% of the population will migrate to it

Wait... People actually played the multiplayer in these games?

I don't really understand posts like this. Yes, of course people played the multiplayer in the games. They had a pretty great community (at least initially, I don't know about the more recent playerbase), and I played both MPs a ton (my most non-MMO played multiplayer probably). just like I'm sure I'll play Uncharted 4's MP a ton.

But in any case, it's a big disappointment to me that the remaster won't have multiplayer. If they hadn't attached that whole "buy game to get access to UC4 beta", I probably wouldn't have even bought the HD collection since I have little interest in replaying the games (I have already replayed each game like 6+ times on PS3).

Why do people keep bringing up the UC4 beta making up for the lack of multiplayer? Unless the beta is going to run for several months, it's not going to make up for not having multi. The beta will, at best, be available to play for a few weeks.

Most wanted:

- Grenade targeting from UC2&3 in UC1
- Removal of gimmicky sixaxis controls from UC1
- Fix the "shoot through corners" exploit so you can't cheese through Crushing

Gotta agree here. The MCC was broken, for a long time, but, what's to say Uncharted's MP collection would *definitely* have suffered the same fate?

Exactly, I find that an odd deduction. It's not like Bluepoint aren't a proven port studio and there aren't 3 different studios that have been outsourced work to release the content in time.

Not just that, but MCC's multiplayer being broken didn't break the single player content. It had its own set of game breaking issues. What's to say Uncharted Collection won't have those similar glitches by that logic then?

Seems like a copout.

All the remasters they did got good reviews and pretty much had no issues.

God Of War collection
ICO collection
Metal Gear Solid HD collection
Titanfall's 360 port
Flower on PS4

Just greaet work.

I'll buy the remaster to experience the 3 games in 1080p and 60 fps, and finish up the trilogy on the PS3 to experience the multi while there's still people on it. :p I think most people will move on to Uncharted 4 by next year anyway, so the decision to remove multiplayer does make sense (and the PS3 version stay relevant since you can still play multi on it for the time being).

I'm actually pretty damn hyped for photo mode.

Sony is charging $40 for just GoW3. I would have been incredibly surprised to see them sell this for cheaper than $60.

Ughhhh I forgot about that. It says better textures and lightning but it doesn't sound like any of the games are getting anything like the Halo 2 anniversary like treatment and no MP. Doesn't sound like it's worth $60 to me. Probably get it when it's $30-$40.

I own the trilogy on PS3 (got it dirt cheap on ebay due to people reselling the trilogy pack that came with new PS3 bundles) and have touched Uncharted 1 slightly but that's it.

On one hand it feels silly to rebuy a game that I own AND haven't completed just for prettier graphics but on the other hand reworked visuals for Uncharted 1 (Early PS3 games aren't exactly "pretty") and not being bogged down by Multiplayer trophies sounds nice so I'm not sure yet if I want to take the dip on this or not.

Not surprised Bluepoint are the ones behind this. They are the biggest badasses in the industry. Count me in!

Expectations are really low for re-releasing the 'definitive' editions of last generation games these days.

Sixty dollars?!

LOLOLOLOLOLOL

Good luck with that. Now, if they'd tossed in The Last of Us complete and called it the "Naughty Pack", then maybe...

God Of War HD
Team Ico HD
Metal Gear HD
and they were brought in to fix the Zone of The Enders HD collection.

They're outstanding at HD remasters, each of those easily became the best versions of the game to play.

Hexadrive were the ones who fixed the ZoE HD collection.

The only reason people might think $60 isn't a good price is if they're comparing it to the MCC value. But then again half of that value was broken for months
