Dark Souls III leaked info and screenshots [RUMOR - Better Details Write-Up]

So it's taking some tips from Bloodborne, then?
It's more like an evolution of what they intended to do with the torch mechanic in Dark Souls II

Like in No Man's Wharf, that have those enemies that fear the dark lurking but once you light that massive fire they run and hide in other places...

OMG ECLIPSE

Woah has new stuff come up? I see the mod edits abiut the PC release but, any updates on validity? Took a nap and missed a lot of pages.

Oh my. That is a good catch indeed. That could explain "Light sources and enemy layouts have been changed".

When the eclipse happens, enemies change and light sources quite obviously change. And then you have these two shots:

The Bloodborne effect is real. Miyakazi is involved in this game no doubt

Please build upon Dark Souls 2 online mechanics please Miyazaki...

This is the only thing that worries me about him being back at the helm. He likes things to be more disconnected and obtuse it seems from the online perspective.

Bloodborne not having any Soapstones for dueling made everything completely random and to my knowledge fight clubs were impossible. Now we read about having to sacrifice a body to invade another person's game which seems cool but an extra step. Also not sure why I feel if Miyazaki is back respecs will be gone completely.

Fight Clubs are very possible through chalice dungeons. Just make a Root Pthumeru Chalice and share the code with your friends. It's how I do it.

Sure, you can't control each of your friends you'll fight, but it's still not as random as just ringing your bell in Frontier and hoping for the best.

The Fact about DS2 is that we got the introductions out of the way, they can stop pandering to newcomers now because they can play that game first and THEN go to this game. Stop the pandering, stop being nice at all, we got it already, no need to play nice anymore, play goddamn ball and throw down already! No need for explanations at this point they can throw as much shit at us as they feel like.

Are you speaking from a gameplay perspective? I wish more games would just be 'OK, it's 2015, we know you know how to play a 3rd person action game, now here is our vision, try and stay alive' and just bombard you with challenge right from the beginning. Why can't that be a thing.

Dude guys if we are on the right track that "Light sources and enemy layouts" thing makes PERFECT sense
But what triggers the cycle? Dynamic Dark/Light cycle? The boss / special thing of the area need to be defeated to release the area of the Dark effect like in Brume Tower?

I can't at the hype =3

Well the person who first teased something about Eclipses in this thread said "Eclipse ITEM".

So maybe we have a way of controlling the world on our own?

Ah alright. Wasn't sure if the community found a way to make it a bit more organized. I still really hope there is a Red Stone and Arena equivalents in this game.

All signs point to this being real. This would have to be the best fake of all time. Only Souls can make the community come up with theories before the damn things even announced.

Can someone tell me what the consensus is? Is this more real or more fake?

There would have to have been some MAJOR crunch time for Miyazaki to be directing this, especially if he is doing the bloodborne expansion.

Also, didn't they just finish bloodborne, dark souls 2 DLC, and do the remaster in house?

It doesn't make sense at all for this to be a 2016 title or even in actual development yet. It makes more sense if it were preproduction and Miyazaki was supervising.

Especially considering there is no doubt, Sony is going to want a Bloodborne 2.

#TeamReal or #TeamFake?

The screenshots hold a lot of weight, obviously.

But that's about it for me. Development cycles don't make sense, Miyazaki doesn't make sense, this lying website having the scoop doesn't make sense.

Tbh, half the screenshots look like drawn a artwork to me which is easily faked.

I'd say they hold all of the weight. All the other stuff can be fake, sure, but the screenshots tell us there's something new brewing in Souls territory.

Leaning on TeamReal. I could see Miyazaki directing both with probably some co-directors. I have no idea how development works at FromSoft but they've released games like if they were nothing years ago (3 games a year usually) so this does not seem entirely impossible. We also don't know how far off this is.

Wait, Fallout 4 yesterday and Darksouls III today. Whats coming tommorrow?

I love Pre-E3 weeks

#TeamReal

and because it's still relevant

I really hope my tears of joy are not in vain.

A.k.a. This better not be fake.

BB expansion
DS III
Fallout 4
Deus Ex

E3 gonna be gud.

Leave room for surprises though!

Another theory (I know T_T)

Since we know that we can make sacrifices and create Bonfires as pictured here:

q9W9N9c.png

Maybe, just maybe, instead of being located in pre-determined places they are going to give you a number of them during the story and you should use them carefully because if you use them all you then could be forced to traverse large sections of the map without bonfires in between...

This could solve the paradigm that some people hate that bonfires are too close to each other, that some are too close to the boss room and so on and on since with this system you could choose where to use them and also add a layer of survival horror like the save system of Resident Evil.
