Honey, I shrunk the superheroes

Add in that Thomas the Tank engine scene and you've got yourself the best TV spot for Ant-Man yet.

Looks like they did a 180 on marketing. Music more upbeat/comedic/weird vibe than the action/blockbuster take they were trying to go for. Going to wait for reviews before I go and see it.

Wouldn't be surprised if the film is critically screwed no matter what they do. If it's good they'll attribute it to Edgar Wright's early involvement, if it's bad they'll cite MCU fatigue and AoU's lower take than Avengers.

I have a good feeling this is really going to under perform.

Also, the House of Cards representative from season 1 looks horrible in this.

Real talk, I can totally understand why this movie seems off for a lot of people. The marketing has been...not so great. I'm hoping for good reviews but if it ends up sucking, it's not like people didn't see it coming.

This probably should have been the starting point for the marketing. The music choices and accentuation of the comedy make a huge difference.

None of the trailers for this movie have made me want to see it. I'm just not feeling it.

I wonder how much of the script is leftover from the other guy is what bothers me.

Which parts are going to be the "Marvel" hitting the $$$ chops and what was removed for being not profitable enough

That TV spot was great - people think this looks bad? What?

Also I need to say the focus and attention on the script changes for this film are kind of ridiculous - tons of high profile movies undergo several drafts, rewrites etc. It's not uncommon, I don't get the fixation on it here.

From what I can remember, they're adding stuff to the Wright script and rewriting bits of it. Apparently it still contains most of the original script, or at least the "essence".

I still think the second trailer was the best piece of marketing for this so far, right balance of hijinx + fun + action + comedy

It's still gonna be one interesting film and it could go either way. My brothers are so split on it. My third oldest brother liked the trailer but when the ad was shown during the NBA, my other two oldest brothers didn't like it and might not see it. And the Twitter reaction to the ads have been interesting aka mixed. Marvel needs to convince people Antman is a key part to the Marvelverse without people laughing at him.

I have seriously never even heard of a character called ant man. And this dont look great
It's a sequel to Honey I Shrunk the Kids. Rick Moranis has aged quite a bit. He sorta resembles Michael Douglas now.

Wtf I thought it was supposed to be going for a really funny/playful vibe and I thought it pulled that off pretty well

Why is there so much negativity lol
