I can't betray people's confidence like that. All I'll say is that if what I've heard is correct, the truth about this game will be revealed soon.

And that's about as kojimatweet as I'll get.

You will regret your words and deeds.

You had inside info?

All this time I thought you were just a jerk who enjoyed tormenting TLG fans

i'm over the last guardian honestly. i love Ueda's games, but I can't get my hopes up about something that may never materialize, I have other shit to look forward to. things with release dates.

It's the Chinese Democracy of gaming at this point.

I don't think TLG has become something else in the sense that the name has changed or the concept has changed. At least I haven't heard that.

Goddamn it. This basically can only be concerning to us poor fools who've held out hope all these years.

All these years.

Even if Sony still have no idea when the game is going to be finished how hard would it be to give us a new trailer? It's been 6 years since we last saw the game, they must surely have something new they can show us by now.

On the other hand, I think they're very deliberately not going to show this game again until it's almost complete and they can there and then drop the release date. It has such a bad history that they'd be unwise to do anything else.

What if the game is re-revealed and then it doesn't look that great. Like it looks okay you guess, but you're not sure if you'd drop 60 bones* (*dollars) on it

It'd have to look like Drakengard 3 for me not to want to drop 60 bones on it right away. If nothing else just for seeing what has become of the game after all these years.

It can look like "early ps2 game lol" for all I care. It can even run at 30fps (well this I expect) as long as the gameplay looks good.

Okay, I believe again. I feel it in my soul that this will finally be unveiled and released within the year just like Bloodborne. I want to see the glorious smile of whoever is presenting the trailer, knowing that they are finally delivering on a long overdue promise. I'd be okay with the one last thing reveal. Sony knows that this IP is huge for gaming enthusiasts. God, imagine if they put an actual date on the screen for the fall or spring.

Please don't break my heart, Sony.

what is the point in stringing the fans any longer? just come out and admit its cancellation. If after 6 YEARS you cant show any progress, your project is as good as dead. Might as well save face and admit it.

It is never going to get released. Just kill it already. I love Ico and SotC is my favorite game of all time, I would love another Ueda game but at this point, 6 years after the original announcement, I only want for all this to end.

i'd pay a fiver or so on psn for a last guardian interactive program containing a digital artbook, samples from the soundtrack, some footage of various versions and an extended video interview with ueda talking about the various design and story/theme ideas and the technical challenges they posed. scej doing their own little version of that jordorwosky's dune documentary.

i look forward to the other projects ueda mentioned he might be able to show soon if things went smoothly about six months ago to dengeki. it's actually been quite a long time since ueda left sony full time (3.5 years, six months off the entirety of sotc development).

I don't know what it'd have to look like to not spend $60 on it. I mean, maybe if they announced it was a F2P game...

If it does get unveiled at E3, it'll be for a 2015 release. There's absolutely no way Sony finally pulls back the curtain on this game after all this time and ends it with "...but wait one more year!"

Seriously, what has Ueda been doing for the last 10 years anyway? The Last Guardian has barely a couple of videos and teases since it's unveiling back in 2009, and he left Sony a few years back and is working with them I guess as a freelancer on the game? I'm assuming he does something else to keep food on the table.
