Koji Igarashi Kickstarts Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night (2.5D, backdash, 2018)

I've decided to downgrade my pledge to $175. Although I would love to have the autographed soundtrack and game, I'd feel as though they would be more of a collection piece rather than a functional piece.

For those who can't back this until final day of kickstarter, Paypal options will be still available at least until next month or later.
But if you want limited quantity tiers, You have to back quickly before kickstarter finished.
Hmm, I wonder if it will be possible to upgrade your pledge after the Kickstarter ends in the same manner, of course not a limited tier. I really want to pledge $300 (up from $100), but I'm finding my budget a bit tight at the moment.

That'd be nice if so.
 
My assumption is that the second playable character is already decided (Johannes or Gebel) but for the third playable character, there is a pool of 2-5 other important characters in the game that are eligible and that we will have to vote on. Of course this means whoever is my favorite out of that pool won't win and the one I like the least/hate the most will win (like what happened with Mighty No. 9.......)

Do you mean the character design for Roll or was there something else?

I'm actually considering upping my $300 pledge for that same reason.

I don't think they're ever going to actually reveal the "mind melting" stretch goal at this rate. Maybe we won't even see the 5m one, if that's not it already.

Supposedly there's amazing news coming in the update later today that will cause Ben Judd to increase his pledge to $250. He also noted others will likely increase their pledges too after reading it.

It's unclear if it's a new addition to the $250 tier, or the news itself is so mind melting that people will just want to throw more money to the screen.

In any event, I'm really hoping they reveal the last stretch goals with this update since the community reached yet another one. If not, keeping suspense for the sake of suspense alone is not achieving anything but unrest.
 
It sounds like the update is just in reference to something they are adding at a 250$ level...not sure how exciting that could be.
 
Oh frak my wallet, Yoshitaka Amano is going to do the poster for the $250 tier collectors box.

No new stretch goal. No Pyrite Coin update. :(

Great for fans of Amano/posters, but I was really hoping for them to pull out all the stops here.

Can't watch the video because I'm mobile, but I hope it's exciting.
 
I think it's a mistake that attacking makes her stop dead on her tracks, unlike Alucard.
Well, it's nice to see IGA giving his opinion on it. Seeing the video, I too felt she moved a bit slow, and seeing IGA say he'd prefer a sped up jogging speed made me nod in agreement.

EDIT: Iga comented in changing the strut to a jog, if that's the case it will probably end up looking like Soma's animation in DoS. I'm ok with this. Off to a good start!

It's so short because I wanted it to be under the 3MB twitter limit. I should probably choose a better 2-second clip though that doesn't make her look like she's so stiff (even though she kinda is - one of the benefits of 3D models is that sprucing up the animation doesn't require redrawing all the sprites).


Ugh, that poster is at the 250 tier... I really can't justify paying that much for a poster. I might have to settle for 'make the art my desktop background.'

A lot of Alucard's attacks did so as well. Only a few weapons, like the Crissaegrim let him attack without stopping.

And again, this is super early stuff. May as well complain about the terrible walk cycle.

Nevermind anyway, Alucard also stops moving when you attack, I just use the Crissaegrim too much lol. I agree that it's pointless to criticize anything at this point.

Actually if you watched the whole thing, what he actually said was that he felt her speed was fine, but that the animation didn't match it and would prefer if they changed it to a jogging animation.
