This game looks bonkers enough to be worth a buy. If Nintendo polishes it up good and nice over the next two months I won't even regret it.

Because nothing they've shown makes it look any more complex than "run up to a guy and use a simple XXX combo to kill them". I'm sure there will be some back and forth combat with stronger enemies that can block and evade (like bosses and classes of enemies that are stronger than your typical minion), but it still looks really simple. I'd love to be wrong though, believe me.

Can't see this yet, but seems like the biggest disappointment is the sales (was the graphics at first, but now that's second maybe), while the gameplay looks middling for some.
While it wasn't graphically impressive the first time I saw it, I did like what I saw in single and multiplayer offering. Hopefully they'll just go into depth with more. If this truly is like an 80's action flick, I'm probably going to like it very much, which is why I like how the main character looks (unless he's changed in the new trailer). Main thing I hope for is the combat being fun and varied. Personally I didn't see this game being any kind of big seller, even before it was a WiiU exclusive. If this is another game Nintendo rescued from development hell (or a game that wouldn't have been made on any other platform) that I enjoy, it's just another reason to thank Nintendo.
Edit: After seeing it, it does look better. I'd say it's brighter and cleaner-looking than the last I saw of it, and hopefully it'll have a high or at least stable framerate. Combat still looks fun, I like the addition of the slide. Has anyone else caught some details that weren't there before? Most of the combat looks as I remember it. Still excited for it.

The game isn't going to win any graphical achievement awards. It looks serviceable, but for me, it looks like a helluva lot of fun to play.
Granted GAF gonna dig when GAF can dig, so there is a lot of drive by crap posting, it's too be expected. Hopefully we get more information about a western release and possibly there are a lot of hands on time at E3.
Hopefully the game plays well. I see a blend of NG and Vanquish...and the MP looks like a blast.

This is hasn't honestly been a problem on many Wii U games that I have played. There are some benefits to having a system with fewer games. Even Bayo 2s MP is usually quick to find matches, and it's kind of a throwaway mode.

I doubt it would have made much of a difference. The game has had some rather severe development issues as a result of being bounced around so often, and I believe it's already gone through no less than three engine changes throughout its development.

Who are the hypocrtes though? Are the people saying the game looks like shit the same people who are still excited for TLG? Do the people who really "believe" in TLG even post outside of the confined asylum thread? Does NeoGAF at large not make fun of people who are still excited for TLG? Where is the hypocrisy? For Japan, yes. We don't know about other territories yet. Besides, you can pick a worse retail exclusive than Amazon.
I'm torn to be honest. Graphics are disappointing, but then again it isn't released yet. I'll probably still get it as it looks fun and that's all that matters in the end.
