Sweet can't wait to use Ryu.

Roy however I couldn't give a flying fuck, Lucina is the better Marth clone as I didn't want another one.

Smash is not SF. Two pallete swaps could have been made into ken and dan perfectly because Ryu is an ambassador for the whole series in smash.
Lime green and light blue are nothing people would cry if they weren't included.

Im not one of those crazies that want sakurai never touching smash again, quite the contrary, but stop defending this type of shit, the man gets a lot of things, maybe not exactly wrong, but questionable (easy to implement ideas that would make a lot of people happy and are passed just because), and a lot of things right.

But being Sakurai, he probably thought somebody would probably cry becuase lime green sf pallete swap was not in the game, so he decided to put everything instead of more interesting and fun ideas. Its the same man that defends keeping ganondorf as a clone becuase he things some fans will cry if he changed him into an original character.
 
I wonder if the other companies will get a second rep. For some reason I could totally see Namco"s second rep be Kos-Mos despair on Xenosaga DS in Japan.

It adds another female who would be very unique as robot. It also provides a neat vs. Shulk opportunity.

Popular there is no actual way to prove that. Also being first doesn't mean popular, ask super man about spiderman.

Two that wasn't my point at all, my whole point was there are a bunch of people who might not care about ryu. Here are some reasons, And then you went nuts.

If these guys come out tomorrow I will be seriously impressed... and play Smash all day, probably.
 
Nice to have the confirmation, but ugh I am so tired of leaks ruining my hype. My biggest wish for a new smash would be to just not have any leaks so I can enjoy each reveal.

The classic palette swaps are way better though. Especially when we have SF2 music and a SF2 stage as well. Sakurai loves drumming up the nostalgia just like with Megaman.

I wonder if Ryu also uses the old sound clips.
 
What I'm most concerned about re: Roy being decent is the length of his sword. It would be nice is it stayed Melee length-ish and wasn't shortened considerably like Marth's range has been.

You're still wrong though. I don't know what you're talking about with Superman, but Street Fighter, which Ryu represents quite nicely, is one of the most popular series on pretty much any system it's on. So a lot of people but and play it, which I would say makes it popular.

For the record, I'm also annoyed they didn't go for having Ryu dress up like other SF characters, but it's freaking Ryu so I'm not that upset.

Roy looks so cool, probably the best FE character now visually, or at least tied with Ike.

If you're making a post in a thread trying to counter a certain notion, expect people to contend with that notion. I heavily resent you having to describe that as me "going nuts" for stating reasons why your perception is flawed, while apparently you're scot-free in making that assumption.

My whole statement was that , there was period where street fighter wasn't popular wasn't a thing at all , and people played other fighting game. And these people might not care about ryu.

Thats it.

Whats there to be wrong about, i'm providing a possible explanation as to why people might not give a shit about ryu.

What are you even talking about. No one is arguing street fighters popularity , now. Like what are you even responding to?

Except your notion is that the whole thing is wrong... even though it isn't. What is wrong with using SF his colors? It gives homage to his origins game. No one is defending him, it's just that people are seeing how overblown your reaction is towards this.

Also the Ganondorf comment is legitimate no matter how much you dislike it though.
 
All my mains except pokemon trainer (who is dead and gone) will return tomorrow.

Looking forward to trying 3 characters out on new stages.
