I don't know why they came out and said it wouldn't be at E3 last year, but wouldn't do the same this year if it were not to show up, especially since there has been a lot more buzz about it this year.
I think we're finally seeing this game once again on Monday.

Yeah at this point they should've confirmed it to be fake, and many other journalists would be like: we asked sony but got a no comment, so I assume they all know about this but don't want to get banned or something. This is the year. This is our time.

Honestly after this many years I'm not expecting it to. I just really, really hope that Ueda's involvement hasn't been lessened from what it was in his prior two games. That, to me, would be a far greater disappointment than anything else.

The game has been in the works for a million years. I would hope the art style has changed since that trailer. Heck it changed quite a bit from the leaked Trico trailer to the reveal.
Maybe the cat bird looks more "next gen" now and has real awesome fur.
Maybe the kid is a grown man voiced by Troy Baker.
Maybe it isnt even called The Last Guardian because that name has too much baggage now and they go back to Trico.

true that it did change a lot from just the initial leak to the reveal......initial leak had an even more SotC look to it do to the way that overlook is.

I'm not sure if I remember the rumors correctly but did they said that they overhauled TLG right?
If they did, then I just hope that they would keep Griffon and Boy characters.

I thought that Ueda stopped working on it years ago (because he finished his part on it) and that they couldn't get Trico's feathers to run on an actual PS3 so Team ICO decided to work on Puppeteer and other games. I can't imagine the game looking much different from the reveal. That would require them to do some actual work.

When the game was officialy revealed in 2009, I remembered being a bit disapointed by the griffin and the boy designs compared to the concept trailer. But I got used to them eventually and the core idea was preserved (a young boy and his griffin).
My only fear this time is if they changed some core concepts like the griffin (being more 'monster-like' fo exemple) or the boy (being an adult)...Honestly it would be surprising since it has become so "iconic". I rather expect something close regarding the art direction with some technical improvements (the boy especially, he looks a bit too simple by next-gen standards)
