Sony is obviously funding most of it. 2 million is a paltry amount of money for a game of this size.

The Kickstarter is likely demand theater and/or the amount Yu needs to get the license from Sega.

I don't have massive hope that the game will live up to the classics after all this time and probably a much smaller dev team/cycle. But I'm soooooooooo glad this exists ^.^

So happy. Watching the Kickstarter literally jump up by tens of thousands every minute or so. So happy. Humanity redeemed.

Looks like they will have easily 2 or 3 times the asking amount to play with to make this a fantastic game. Perhaps even way more than that.

When I get paid at the end of the month I'm probably going the $100 or so route so Shenmue 3 is mine already!
