Horizon: Zero Dawn Trailer (Guerrilla, post-apocalyptic pre-historic adventure)

see what happens when you let your studios make new IP's? it was time to let Killzone sit, it's time to let Uncharted, God of War and Infamous sit as well.

Guerrilla Games ascending to videogaming godhood if this turns out to be as fucking amazing as it's looking right now, both in visual and gameplay terms.

What's funny is I'm intrigued by the story unlike the Killzone series.

Looked great.

Another bowed protagonist.

That looks baller, just graphically insane.

They nailed the look but it's pointless if they don't nail the gameplay, can't wait though.

Absolutely spectacular.

I've always been a fan of Guerrilla, and I'm so happy that they got the chance to make a project like this.

Can. Not. Wait.

To think this is coming from the makers of the most uninteresting big shooter franchise around. I never thought Guerilla could end up wow'ing me to this extent.

Game looks INSANE!

Well they did let ND do a certain zombie game last gen lol.

I agree it's nice KZ is getting a rest. This post end times mech dino concept is blowinge away. Love it.

My favorite demo of this E3 so far. Awesome, unique setting and the gameplay looked fun as well.

I still think it's pretty surprising that a major AAA game can be released with such a crazy concept and a female protagonist. Awesome all around.

This was the best new IP shown. Looks mindblowing.

And finally, Guerrilla can't get the "generic" complaints lashed out against them after this. Genuinely unique and refreshing looking IP. I'm happy the studio doesn't have to be the "Halo Killer" maker anymore and can finally do their own thing.

The mechanics looked a little rough, but extremely promising. I really hope a huge focus is placed on making the dinobot encounters engaging, and I hope there are boss battles that rival something like SoTC.

This has amazing potential, so happy for the team at GG.

I was so ready to hate on this based on the concept art.. but I just can't. That was legitimately impressive.

Absolutely stunning visuals and really interesting gameplay mechanics. One of my favorite demos of E3!

Uncharted looks outstanding, but im OK with sucker punch moving on. SSM tried making a new IP and it blew up in their face.

I think the game missed one big thing. The girl shouldn't even be close to this powerful. They're dyno-robots man.

I would've preferred if humans were like the mammals when real dinos ruled. Little scurrying rats, trying to make a living at the lower half of the food chain.

Imagine Aloy killing the little ones for the green goo but when big boss shows up she takes off, running into crevices, manmade underground borrows etc much like real animals when faced with huge predators.

Maybe they could've gone for a theme of humans beginning to rebuild their past glory, much like how our tribal ancestors started to work together to climb to the top of the food chain and then to cities and shit.

Visually top notch though.

The game is just mind-bogglingly gorgeous. I can't even believe it is running on a PS4. Between this, Battlefront and Uncharted 4, next-gen is showing some real muscle.

To be fair to SSM, people give them shit for doing GoW (which I think is only second to GT for top franchise Sony has), but SSM does a bunch of work with exterior studios to help them out, and quite varied. People just seem to forget that.

As the prophecy foretold.

This is what I've been waiting for. Taking the technical wizardry from Killzone and putting it to use in a new I.P. with a completely different look and feel and this is what you get. This is why new I.P.'s are important instead of going with the safe bet most of the time (KZ isn't a safe bet anymore though, lol).

I love how Guerrilla Games is finally making a game with quick movement and mobility.

fucking lost it at that part. Take down his parts and weapons. Pick up his missile pods to shoot the fuck out of him

mech design is insane, as expected from the guys from GG

Am I insane/alone in thinking this is post Killzone? I haven't played Shadowfall since launch but that city instantly reminded me of KZ.

Edit: damnit Tequi

Yup, that mech design is sick, and that much detail in them.

Even those sparks are freaking glorious

Dude humans are badasses. There's a reason we rule the planet. We have weapons and tools and we're pretty physically capable.

KZ definitely is a safe bet. Consistent 2-3 million seller. I'm beyond overjoyed they're branching out, though.

Yep. This game looks fantabulous and I love it. Uncharted looks amazing as usual, while Star Wars is hype. This E3 has already delivered

My only complaint right now is the amount of chatter going on by the protagonist. I hope its toned down or it was just for show like Ubisoft chatter.

That's really interesting, I agree with you.
Add it to the gameplay and you easily got 30+ hour game.
Good post.
