Official Destiny: The Taken King ViDoc – No Legend Is Safe

At 3:08 there is a bounty and quest tracker in the Ghost hud.

It all looks so amazing, I cannot wait.

So i heard one of them say they have new patrols. Plural. Could that be an indication that there will actually be multiple new zones rather than just one?

This looks fantastic, glad to get some details. New Crucible modes look fantastic, new subclasses are ace. So excited. They really are starting to do everything right with this game.

Well they talked about Phobos and the dreadnaught.

I only noticed them saying we would go to a new location, the dreadnought. Must have missed it.

Really want them to come out and be crystal clear on the various stuff in the expansion

edit - guess you're right, they did talk about the distress signal from phobos

Sounds like the new subclasses are unlocked via quests, sounds cool.

Edit: Looks like new Hunter super will be good to combo with other supers, i.e. Warlock's chain lightning

Still not getting a good sense of how expansive these new environments are.

And are all the enemies tweaked versions of existing ones? I hope they feel more like truly different enemies than remixes.

The subclass designer with the moustache is so excited he forgets how to use language:

It's like a pshh bsshh!
Gets down in crouch pose and BSSHHHH!
He crouches down and BDFFFFF!

That all looks pretty hype and cool. Loving the new crucible game modes.

But man, $40 for it all, is still just crazy ridiculous to me. I need to see plenty more in order to justify that kind of price.

Technically I think we go to phobos in one of the multiplayer maps.

Looks great and I'll be buying it even though I'm not too thrilled with the price. I'll be staying far away from the Mayhem crucible playlist though, non stop supers sounds absolutely terrible.

Sounds like a great way to get that "kills with super" bounty done, and that's about it. :P

Actually I take that back, it sounds like a great place to practice your super usage in PvP.

Idk, got to think of the value, I'll get my $40 worth after 1 week and it will probably keep me busy for months afterwards, as did vanilla destiny

I've been a bit burned out and have barely touched HoW, but I'm super hyped for this. Can't wait.

Look similar act move and perform differently it seems

Destiny expansions are pretty pricy for what you get.

I figure that's the "Running these servers aint cheap" tax. Somewhat overpriced contents seems like a better deal than the alternatives for funding the server (Microtransactions, or subscription fees)

The fact that Luke Smith is the creative director on this gives me confidence that this is going to be awesome. He did a stellar job on the Vault of Glass and you can see a lot more interesting riffs in this vidoc that remind me of his work there.

Looks really good. Hopeful that after House of Wolves took some baby steps forward they'll jump ahead with this stuff. It's certainly ticking a lot of boxes for me, especially the idea of the Cruiser being like a giant Vault of Glass style mystery to navigate.

also since they say they read GAF in this video please could somebody at bungie explain how the fallen, a bunch of aliens, know what wolves are, and why they use wolf idioms,

Everything looks positive so far, they’ve gradually improved the game with each update and expansion and this looks to be the most comprehensive so far.

did he not do crota?
i thought he was mr. endgame

I still can't get over the fact that I have to pay full new-game price just because I don't have Dark Below. It's preventing me from hyping at all.

It's just a transliteration thing. The house is probably named in Eliksni language as some sort of predatory quadraped that travels in packs or something.

A lost in translation thing. For instance, we know of the "Great Collapse" that happened to humanity years ago, but the Fallen call it the "Great Whirlwind".
