Played through the base game and was left underwhelmed. Can anyone tell me if this is like Dark Souls II in that the best content is the dlc or do/will the expansions not add enough to make the game feel fleshed out content-wise?
Destiny has flaws but I don;t get the crazy hate it gets especially here, the game is still really fun with fantastic mechanics.
Just watched the Vidoc looks really good, but I'm in a weird place with Destiny... I own Xbox one standard version played it up to I think Venus? Played it solo and just got a bit burnt out and moved onto other things.
Have heard much better things about House of Wolves and seeing the Vidoc I feel like they are adding more and more high quality content. Is it worth me buying both expacs and then this.
The other thing is I have a PS4 and know few people who are really into it and was thinking should I get just get the legendary edition on PS4 instead...
I think the problems with Destiny have been thoroughly well documented and debated at this point. Some people, such as you perhaps, might not feel that those problems are a big deal to their enjoyment of the game. But they certainly are there, and they do ruin the game for some.
Yeah that has nothing to do with what I said though, the crazy amount of hate this game gets in every thread is ridiculous, just I don't know play something else and stop shitting up destiny threads maybe? I don't post about games I hate and how much I think they suck.
That's some cryptarch level fuckery. It looks like the extra shaders and dance moves are only in the most expensive edition that forces you to re-buy old content. :/
Nevermind, I was being dumb.At 3:08 there is a bounty and quest tracker in the Ghost hud.
It all looks so amazing, I cannot wait.
Don't you get them if you own expansions 1 & 2 also. ?

Yeah but if they feel the need to voice their criticism in every single destiny thread, that's the problem, they said their piece 4 months ago? Cool, but when you go in every thread and start acting like a protester wearing a big ol' sign saying "destiny blows, I suck at end game" blah blah, that is shit posting. You basically said you didn't get the hate for the game since you think the game is fun.
I'm just telling you not everyone shares that point of view when it comes to this game.
Edit - should people mindlessly shit up Destiny threads? ofc not. Should there be room for being critical of the game, ofc there should.
Let's leave the metadisussion behind, please. End of the day, the majority of people who shit post about the game just look silly to daily players. "I finished the story mission that game sucked" "if I have to reach end game to fully enjoy the game, it's shit"
It's like damn, get your expectations in check people, the meat always has been and always will be end game.
Even if Destiny 2 comes out with epic cut scenes and story telling, end of the day, the people who play daily do it for the end game, loot and the cooperative team work.
And as far as the $40 price tag... I paid $90 when it came out and played everyday for almost a year straight... I more than got my money's worth. $40 is nothing if you play daily
I wish these Playstation timed exclusive deals would stop after Taken King.
The biggest complaint with Destiny is the lack of content, and there is a large group of players who are artificially limited to less of that content.
I have no intention of buying two separate versions of this game, or starting all over again just to see that extra content on time.
It won't. It's that simple sadly. Bungie seem content to continue limiting half their user base just for some extra cash.

We know about the name of the fallen language? Where is all this information?

Destiny is interesting in that it's a rapidly moving target. The list of issues from launch has been whittled down significantly, between the updates and DLC. People who go into Destiny with the $60 retail re-release with all the expansions and updates are getting a wildly better game than shipped last year.
I'm hoping websites do a re-review of the entire package. As it stands the $60'taken king deal is dripping with content and value for the new player.
Is there a new Zone?
As a religious Destiny player, I really don't know about this one. Still seeing guardians fighting the same enemies (albeit with a new ghastly coat of paint) over and over, additional pvp modes that would be considered standard among its peers, and at the end of the day it's probably not going to correct the flaws of the game.
The new subclasses does looks very interesting and fun, but the full retail sticker price is giving me second thoughts.

Sorry if I'm late to the game, but it's looking like the regular experience-based level cap has been raised to at least 30, also. They showed off some level 30s with white numbers above their heads. Does this mean light level will grow to 46 or maybe something like 50? Maybe a new type of level above what light provides? Just speculating...
So my only option is getting the $60 version right?
