Doesn't Microsoft have 70,000 employees? They should set aside 500 or so employees, a mix of software engineers, QA testers, and PR people, to do the following:
Software Engineers: Spend all work hours optimizing the 360 BC solution. Get rid of stuff that WORSENS performance, like the forced vsync, so that games like Mass Effect perform exactly like they used to on 360, instead of performing worse than they used to on 360. Come up with a solution to allow 2-disc games. Finalize the solution that will allow DLC. Fix bugs like Super Meat Boy not allowing cloud saves. And maybe pull off the miracle of making games with peripherals work (Rock Band + Kinect games).
QA testers: Some project manager should come up with a streamlined sanity test plan that makes knocking BC games through QA smooth as butter. Their goal should be to have every 360 game in existence run through QA, whether or not that game is approved. Then when the game is approved, at the flick of a switch it can get added.
PR team: A team of PR guys should work the phone 24/7 in shifts calling any and all publishers. Call in as many favours as you can and make sure no essential games are missed. We need Call of Duty, we need GTA, we need Tales of Vesperia, we need NHL 12. From the obscure to the popular, there are 100s of games that could slip through the cracks and this team should make sure none do. And come up with some solution to allow de-listed games added.
I know what I'm asking for is ridiculous lol (in terms of employee focus/productivity). I'm half joking and half serious. I'm just really excited about BC and I want it to truly be comprehensive.
