NA PSN Sale - Fantasy Flash Sale (Goes Live 6/26 or 6/27 - Ends 6/29)

wasn't really feeling the footage of New Adventure Island I looked up despite the game's reputation, but Bonk for $1 is definitely getting bought.

Took me like 4 years to beat VC2, it's a good game but nowhere near the first one. People should absolutely buy it at that price.

The fact that I came back to this game continuously over 4 years should be enough of an argument about how good it is.

Geez, with all the VC2 dislike in this thread, I'm kind of wondering if that's the reason why Sega didn't bother with VC3 coming over....

THANKS, VALKYRIA CHROBAMACLES.

Hm, was hoping for more.
Fate/Extra any good for fans of the anime/VN?

It's pretty good actually. I'd definitely suggest it at that price.

Nope. Only from ps3

I thought they changed that.

Val chron 2 is pretty damn fun if you ignore the fact that the story is crap. Fixes a lot of issues I had with the first one.

Oh yeah, I barely remember anything about the plot, but as someone who isn't really into strategy games, I rather enjoyed my time, especially for being portable.

If anything, the thing that annoyed me the most was the sudden difficulty spikes for missions right before the end of a chapter.

yeah uhh I think this is the cheapest Neptunia 1 and Monster Monpiece have been

no, hand, don't put in my bank info.

Hyperdimension Neptunia ReBirth1? I enjoy JRPG's like the tales series, what about this one?

I'll just quote what I said in the PSN thread.
That game isn't fun at all. Annoying characters, dumb story, mediocre combat system, and in the beginning-middle of the game there are unfair difficulty spikes all over the place. The difficulty spikes are gone by the end of the game, but by then you can break the game by charging up the "Super" meter before entering the boss fight and then using it first turn taking off 75% of the bosses' hp. The devs don't even know how to balance the game. Oh and each dungeon/map look ugly and they all have the same annoying music playing the entire time.

Don't buy the game, it's not worth $6.

Oh and the game had fan service within like the first 10 minutes of the game. I think this is why some people enjoy the game. <_<

Damn, this is the first negative thing I have read about it. That doesn't sound fun at all :(

I snagged Mind/Zero, for $10, it's cheap. Also VC2 because why not.
Now I've got licences for 8 out of 12 games in Vita section. This legacy device sure makes money for Sony, at least from me.

hah kinda sounds like me. I've bought it twice over the years and still never finished it. Well here goes the 3rd time! I'm thinking now that I can play it on my PSTV I'll be able to finally finish.

3rd times a charm!

Still waiting for the official announcement to go up before I purchase anything. With the prices people are reporting I can see myself spending $10-15 on this sale.

Stay away if you absolutely can't stand anime girl tropes or the idea of copy-pasted 90-second dungeons repels you. Other than that, it's a 6/10. Big flaws, but worth $6.

Can you add the prices for all of the items too please like you did for the vita please. I know you were excited but maybe this thread should of been made the days the sale started and not days before so we new the prices/what was on sale from the start. Just a suggestion.

I will be adding the prices for everything now.

Just thought that people can share suggestions on the games, that's why I made the thread.

Ended up with:

Lego The Hobbit (PS4)
Shadow Warrior (PS4)
New Little King's Story (Vita)
Valkyria Chronicles 2 (PSP/Vita)

And also picked up Daytona USA from the Sega sale. Not bad at all!

there are a few odd difficulty spikes but that's the only bad thing about it, characters are awesome and the script is really funny, absolutely worth it for 6 dollars

Is that the same one that is on PC/Steam? I know they are named different, but I'm not sure if the PC version is just an "updated" port or not.

Nope. Elminage Original is a port of the first Elminage game (The Priestess of Darkness and The Ring of Gods), where Elminage Gothic is essentially the fourth game, I believe (Ritual of Darkness and Ulm Zakir)

I bought Shadow Warrior for like 5 bucks on Steam but yet to play it, I can't max it on my PC but it looks "good enough." Would I be better off getting it on PS4?

Hello everyone :D!

Sorry if the thread OP was not managed well, but I fixed the OP to include the sale prices of the games on sale.

I did not mean to confuse anyone regarding the sale, so I hope the OP is helpful for anyone interested in games.

Thanks for the clarification. Still have to finish Operation Abyss, but do I want this game waiting for me when I finish OA...

You're doing a good job! With the links on there it was easy enough to find everything, with the prices now there it is a lot easier.

Neptunia is honestly not much different from the Atelier series, only with less alchemy and more game industry references and fanservice. Similar mission based progression, similar crafting, same amount of anime tropes.

It's a lot of fun to play and absolutely worth $6.

Please dont compare the trash that is neptunia to atelier ever again thanks

...uh... as much as i love neptunia, atelier has better worlds, music, gameplay...everything

Really? I think there are a lot of similarities between the games. Not in the details but in the overall game structure.
I have only played Rorona Plus and a bit of Totori though.

The music, the crafting, the gameplay, how the characters and story are written, everything is different/better in Atelier.

Only similarities is that Nisa once handled both series.

I have played both series a lot, and Atelier is so much damn better than Neptunia, and I really don't think they are similar at all.

like... I can't believe you're saying similar crafting.

I think I should have elaborated a bit more but now I wish I didn't say anything. I stand by my opinion that both games are similar though.

Anyway... ignore me and carry on...

When was the last time Vagrant Story and Parasite Eve 2 were on sale? I've been itching to replay them, have enough money left for one of them.
