Xbox Ultimate Game Sale (Begins July 7th)

Overall, I think this is kind of a weak sale. I can see myself buying some 360 games in hopes they become backwards compatible, but that is pretty much it. Most of the big discounted games (diablo and borderlands) I already have on PS4 and I swore to never double dip once I got my Xbox.
 
Pretty disappointing sale for me, even on 360 there is nothing I'm after. Guess I was expecting more.

Oh well, can keep my money for other stuff!

Such is the way with all Xbox sales it seems.
 
Thinking about getting the KI full pack even though I own the disc version of Season 1. I think that is as cheap as it's going to get for the full version for a long time.

Ah ya apologies for assuming. Still a pretty good price though at $40 for people only looking for it for PC.

Now like you said, let's see when it actually comes out on Win10

Very nice! PvZ is available now on 360 for free (Gears 3 will be free on July 16), and AC Black Flag on Xbox One, with indie title So Many Me available on the 16th

Also Massive Challice is still free on XB1 until the 16th I think.
 
Funk of Titans... Hadn't heard of that before. Looked up some gameplay on YouTube and it actually looks pretty good. Anyone played it?

I did. It is okay for very short bursts (if you like runners), but not much else. The music constantly repeats in every stage and I felt bored playing more than 15 minutes at a time. I unlocked a good number of the cosmetic items and the weapons, but didn't feel like it added anything significant.

On a side note, when the fuck is Microsoft going to put prices on list pages? I HATE looking through the Xbox store and having to click through to the product page to see prices.
 
I will probably pick up either Borderlands or Diablo 3. Never played either series before.

Just saw that White Night is only $7.50 as a part of this sale. Anyone have any experience with that game? I remember thinking it looked/sounded cool.
 
Microsoft needs to be a lot more vocal regarding the backwards compatibility updates. I would go ape shit on a lot of these 360 games that are on sale if I knew that some of them would be added to the BC list.

If it's first party, you can assume it will be BC. The PR image for BC shows a fable game case, so I'm assuming all three will be BC and that's why I'm buying the trilogy on sale.

The game is really good for cheap. I got it in the last sale it was available, and really enjoyed it.

It has hints of Metal Gear Solid and Splinter Cell in the "missions". Many of them are small open world areas that are big playgrounds you can approach however you want.

Fun little romp.

seriously. Curious what their plan is. Because like you I'd probably buy some games if they came out and said all or these specific 360 games on sale are now BC and available for preview members.
 
So it won't let me buy Batman from the Xbox One Store, so I tried to do it online but it won't load the UK page, only showing up in $? Anyway around this?
 
I thought it was decent for what it is, ie a low budget Platinum title. There's not much variety in the opponents and levels, but it has more depth than your usual brawler, with a recognizable touch.

Look at the bottom of the page, if it says united states in the left hand side click on it and the pick united kingdom

I just want to check, can I buy some american xbox credit and apply it to my account on xbox.com if I change the account to US? simple as that right?
 
Pretty excited to finally play Ori (backlog was holding me back). I heard there were a few issues at launch, have most of these been resolved now?

AC China was pretty fun and Temple of Osiris was awesome ! I might be biased though been as TR is my faivourite franchise but it is a great co-op/ solo puzzle game. The puzzle difficulty also changes depending on how many players you play with.

I'm currently playing through it and it looks amazing and runs incredibly well. Only time I saw any framerate dips was during the Shangi-La stuff. I say go for it. It's a wonderful game.
