I think some of you guys are confusing Amazon's actual "Black Friday" sale with the "sales" Amazon has every day after Black Friday up to Christmas.

They may have really great sales on the actual Black Friday, but for the rest of the holiday season they have a lot of crap like what we're seeing now. All through December it's just this:

Watches and jewelry, watches and jewelry.

No idea if this is a good deal, but Kindle Unlimited is on sale today as well:

Unlimited reading. Unlimited listening. Any device.
6 Months: $59.94 - Now $44.95
12 Months: $119.88 - Now $80.32
24 Months: $239.76 - Now $143.86

In my opinion, from having used it, Kindle Unlimited is not worth it. It's a lot of books...that you'd never want to read.

I wish there were some deals on higher end tablets, not the piece of shit tablets. If Androud tablets really aren't selling too well supposedly I want to see $250 to $300 Nexus 9's and $150 Galaxy Tab S's!

Dell Chromebook I'm going to try to grab and might actually keep it at $150 or lower..

This would be the definition of an impulse buy for sure lol

This sale might be disappointing to those of you expecting a $100 PS4 but I bet for Amazon, it's a huge success. Their site must be getting soooo much more traffic than a normal Wednesday. Not to mention all the people who signed up for a free trial of Prime and will forget to cancel it (or keep it on purpose).

I feel like between libraries and the occasional ebook purchase I'd be wasting money if I subscribed to this.

Can anyone speak to the availability of popular titles on Kindle Unlimited?

It seems kind of dumb to expect people to sign up without knowing the kinds of content available.

On the canadian side...

I was looking at getting the gps they have on sale.

http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00AZM8GIQ/

Any reason i should avoid this purchase? I never bought a gps before but i find the one on our phone lacking.

dedicated gps units are generally not good ui-wise compared to most phone apps i've found

Most of the big ones won't be on there if oyster and scribd are anything to go by. They've offered similar services for much longer and Oyster only recently got Harry Potter, for instance. You can search here, they list what books are within their services and are a good litmus test:

I'm telling you, it's not worth it. It's a lot of books you've never heard of and you're not interested in. I agree it's lame you can't see the library until you sign up.

It's not even as good as Netflix, where there are at least some movies you'd want to watch, while accepting that most of the movies you want aren't there. It's just a random collection of crap.

The only cool thing about it is for some books, if they are available on Audible, you get the Audible version for free as well. And it was very handy for me that it would sync between the two. So I'd be reading a book on my Kindle, sync it with their server, and then when I got in my car and was driving to work, the Audible version would pick up right where I left off.

I mean if you really need to try it out, it's only $10 for a month. I think there's even a free trial?

Definitely DO NOT sign up for 6 months, though.

IMO, I feel $200 isn't a great deal. Not too long ago, I got a new 32" Vizio smart TV for 150 dollars.
Well I always put Vizio as the cheap option.
I guess people value things differently.

Anyways, they say another 32 inch TV will be coming, so we shall see.

Edit: The $200 Chromebook already gone, dammit.

it's literally impossible to get anything or maybe my connection at work just isn't up to speed

Dell Chromebook gone in seconds. do they only have like 100 of them?

Can I browse through Amazon or other tabs when I join the waitlist for something?

Usually yes, no problem. For some reason, I keep getting booted off a particular waitlist though, even after getting verification that I'm in line. It happens every couple of minutes, and every single time I refresh that tab.

Damnit Amazon

Same here. I keep joining waitlists all day, but keep getting booted from them. I just want to buy more things lol.
