So Charlie has amnesia and is roaming the desert, secretary girl and Urien find him and start telling him about his past when he joined the army, teaming up with Guile, his psycho power, all that shit. Then they tell him he was defeated by Bison (Alpha 3 I think) and became Shadow and told him about all the nasty shit he did as Shadow. It references some of the Udon comics here but also directly goes against it. Eventually it leads to a big two on two battle with Guile and Chun vs Shadow and Bison.
After Guile and Chun free Charlie from the Shadow mind control Charlie does a wake up flash kick taking him and Bison off a cliff. [...]
Then they tell Charlie he died from the fall and that this whole desert is an computer generated illusion and Urien and her consciousness were uploaded into it to talk to Charlie. They wanna recruit him into the Illuminati cause of his personality and psycho power. They give him two options, join us and kill Bison for good or we can erase your memories and alter them and make you join us as a zombie (which they don't want cause apparently Charlie's personality is that cool?). Obviously Charlie says "I'm in" and he wakes up.
codes go out on the 20th i believeHas anyone received a beta code yet?

I dont know if it has been discussed yet, but informations about Udon latest work "The Life and Death(s) of Charlie Nash" have been surfacing lately. Since this comic is part of SF5 advertising and deals with Nash reappearance I think we can safely assume it somewhat follows SF5 story.
Interesting summary from reddit r/Kappa user Twotecks (spoilers for the comic obviously) :
As if we needed more proof it seems to confirm that Nash was indeed brought back by the Illuminati, and interesting point, it seems he is not brainwashed and is willingly working with them.
It would also support the rumours that the game is dealing with the fall of Dictator and takes place before SF3.

Very, very likely a brand new character
So pretty much guarantees that Urien will make it in
I'd personally prefer Karin as the reveal because the announced characters so far, if we include Maori-kun, would be 6 men and 2 women. Karin as the 9th reveal would be a bit more balanced, plus she was the one all the top players mentioned when asked who they really wanted inTwo reveals would be nice. The new guy at the panel, they could talk about him a bit there and Urien before top 8. The crowd would go nuts seeing Aegis Reflector.
I don't think it does, tbh. Shadaloo could have very well been biding their time for a comeback during 3, and the clash between Gill's organization and the former could be the main storyline in V.
I like that Nash isn't brainwashed. Makes it a lot more interesting. It's going to be really cool seeing both Shadaloo and the Illuminati play a role in the so-called improved story mode.
I have a question about the lore. If Urien is with what I assume to be Gill's secretary, then does that imply that he took over the organization? Wouldn't that make it take place after SF3? Maybe I'm speculating too much into the secretary part.
Assuming they didn't retcon 3S yet, no Urien is still under Gill and is just bidding his time by just doing what Gill and the org. command him to do.

Fair point. Then again, if Mika is in, when would she be best revealed? Despite being popular in polls I doubt she's generate the same hype as Karin at something like EVO so perhaps the pigtailed wrestler in blue would be more likely at TGS?I'm convinced Karin will be saved for TGS.

I don't think it's that cut and dry. He threatens to kill Chun-Li if she "gets in his way" again in his win quote against her. Seems like he would have no reason to kill an innocent person, let alone a police officer who shares a similar goal in stopping Bison.I like that Nash isn't brainwashed. Not necessarily. Gill was never defeated during SF3, as per the unofficial guide that has compiled what little plot there is in the SF series; The comic shows Urien and Gill talking to Nash as allies, but they are enemies in 3s after Urien betrays the Illuminati. Plus Gill should be defeated anyway if this was after 3s. I'm pretty sure Ken Bogard said it takes place before 3 and deals with the fall of Shadaloo anyway. This seems to support that, rather than not.
Urien's 3S ending assumes that he's finally bested Gill in battle and
inherited control of the entire Secret Society, which most likely doesn't
happen since it's through Gill's design that Urien becomes Leader to fill
the empty seat (and take over the crisis management unit that Gill had
intended to blow up as a result of Necro anyway) Gill left behind moving
up to Sovereign. Gill's 3S win quote to Urien reveals that Urien had lost
their battle in 2I despite Gill holding back, and that Gill himself swayed
the entire Organization to elect Urien as Leader. Their dialogue battle in
3S has Gill intending to fight his brother to the death this time around, so
it's highly unlikely that Urien's "3S victory ending" manifests in any way.
Where he is now: Still trying to overcome the shadow of his older brother
Gill.
Where he is now: Continuing to watch the rest of the world, and Alex in
particular. His 3S ending assumes that Alex wants to seek him out again,
which is unlikely since Alex believes Gill got taken care of the first time
and Tom is well.

-With SF3 how are Vega and Shadoloo doing?
A. Even Vega also Shadoloo are in good health.
-About Gill's gang and relations to Shadoloo?
A. Gill's organization is such that the world conjectures. Shadoloo's
activities also, as long as Vega doesn't realize they've been utilized by
means of a large power, are being controlled.

-With having been active in SF2 Guile and Honda, Balrog and the others at the
present, how are they doing?
A. Guile, Honda, Balrog and the others of the world are continuing their
struggles.
Not necessarily. Gill was never defeated during SF3, as per the unofficial guide that has compiled what little plot there is in the SF series;
On Urien:
On Gill:
On the whereabouts of Shadaloo and other SF2 characters:
Of course, all of the above is moot if Ken Bogard confirmed it,
Is this an actual, post-III continuation?

Hell even Urien in SF3 faced Chun-Li with no intention of actually killing her.
It's certainly possible he's maintained free will and has been twisted by his thirst for vengeance, but who knows.

We don't know yet. Signs are pointing to pre-3S though.
16 years since Third Strike, and we're still pre-Third Strike.
Only took Fast & Furious 9 years to catch up to itself.
Possibly. Interestingly, the only two female characters revealed so far have always been unveiled as part of a two-person reveal and always with a male character, but twice isn't really much of a pattern to go off of admittedly :3If Mika and Karin are a thing it's likely they'll be revealed together at TGS

Then who is? He's Street Fighter's best boss in my opinion.I agree, I would love the story to take place after 3S. If the finished game does indeed take place before 3S then I assume Capcom just wants to retcon the SF3 storyline entirely.
I guess SF4 retconning Bison's death pushes Capcom to explain the relative powerscale of the Illuminati vs Shadowloo and Bison. The only weird thing about setting this before SF3 is that the only boss options can be Urien or Gill, and we've already had three games with them. Gill is also not a very well designed boss imo. He may be extremely powerful, but he's not intimidating nor imposing in appearance.

Which is a shame as Akuma is boring as a boss, I guess Shin Akuma woul fit the bill. But he's....Oni now *shudders*He's not even the primary antagonist of the franchise anymore. That would be Akuma.

They should just move on which is even better.Oni is non-cannon. Shin Akuma is just a recolored Akuma with more powerful moves (Akuma is already consistently more powerful than just about anybody). I think there's better lore and more character development involved in the Ryu/Akuma plot than there is in the increasingly dumb Shadaloo plot-line.

Sorry for wanting something different...?Move on from 20 year old, unfinished plot-lines?
The last time they tried to move on from their characters and storylines, the idea was not well received.
Yep that's how I also see him. IIRC M.Bison has always been the main boss in the games. The only game where I would consider Akuma an antagonist would be SFA2, and even then he's only one to Ryu and (to a lesser extent) Ken. Bison definitely causes more shit as a terrorist, Akuma is just some dude that wants Ryu to reach his potential.

Probably not, not enough eyeballs on a friday, would distract from the USF4 tourney.I hope they just reveal the character at the start of evo.
The waiting is the worst part!
Playable new character at evo *crosses fingers*
Not really. There can be a powerful henchman of theirs that goes insane.
Basically another Seth...that would stink.
