If you can afford it. At worst you'll be able to sell the code for a profit at release. At best you will have played and loved Shenmue 1&II HD by the time this comes out

You have two years to play them dude! I'd say it's worth it since it'll extend the story further and get insight into those characters.

Reward: $80.00 USD
Shipping: No shipping fees

Does that mean there are no shipping fees added, or no fees required?

One is block style and the other is chibi style. They're banking on the anime fans being willing to fork over more.

For $700 you get to insert yourself as a dice dude capsule toy. For $1200 you get to be a chibi statue capsule toy.

Totally happy with my dice decision. The chibi version is just too much for me and not enough of an upgrade.

It's alright. There's even a custom emulator just for Shenmue 2. If you have an Xbox or 360 I'd grab Shenmue 2 for that instead.

I heard that the minigames don't work well on emulators. Anyway a dreamcast is super cheap, consider getting one

Nope, only have current gen consoles. Emulation, or buying a Dreamcast on ebay for only two games is pretty much my only option, and I really don't have room for a Dreamcast.


Still kinda hoping that Sega will re-release the first two, seems silly not to cash in on the hype.

I'd say it's inevitable but you never know. If you want to grab Shenmue 1 for emulator I recently beat it through an emulator. The only issue I had was the shadows wouldn't render correctly sometimes showing the entire draw for them instead of just on the ground.
