Rise of the Tomb Raider Syria Demo

I can't walk. Let me climb up this mountain.

Besides that, not impressed with this demo at all. Nothing but walking, moaning, and QTEs. Doesn't look exciting at all.

ALMOST...(moaning)...THERRRRE!

That was pretty boring and I remain unimpressed with the game.

Must be from really early on in the game too just given how the level was designed.

Dunno, I needed to skip ~5 minutes of interactive exploration cinematic to get to some proper gameplay.

That 'puzzle' at 8:50 though, not only it's obvious what's to be done here, but both puzzle elements were highlighted treating the gamer like a halfwit. Yep, won't bother with this game.

Looks mighty fine. This TR is shaping up very nicely, tech and design wise.

Thank you Sony and Microsoft for a new common denominator.

Looks even more like Uncharted than the last one. Still looks fun though, I was never a big original Tomb Raider fan so less tombs isn't too bad for me.

I think that these set pieces and constant near death experiences really lose their impact if they occur every 30 seconds. Plus her hair looks like she's constantly underwater.

CD meetings must have went like "uncharted amplified TO THE EXTREME!".

Some of those animations are pretty rough.

And that aiming system looked like it was pulled straight out of Uncharted 1 with how everything is angled and positioned.

Isn't that pretty much the opening to the previous Tomb Raider but in a different setting?
Slowly walk along mountain ledge, stop to admire the view and then have an obstacle placed highly that you need to climb to?

Looks MUCH better than what they showed during the Gamescom conference. I don't get why they decided to show a generic stealth segment instead of this

Her hair is really distracting, it's like she's underwater or something.

Yeah, her hair looks really weird, specially during the first cutscene

Looks early on since we still have Tutorial Markers popping up. At least it is some Tomb Raiding and not just shooting/survival or crafting footage.

I would much prefer if she did not talk the story and instead we found out as we explored. I want to investigate the story of what happened, instead of narrating everything.
