Araki is already haunting this thread at this very moment on first post. Nothing will stop him but we might get other stuff aswell.
Same face was an issue but maybe after centuries of drawing he finally found the perfect face lol.

Since they are the ones who taught platinum.

A little after you went offline I fought a Ken with the same level of points and the same type of playstyle as me.

V scary fighting me lol

His gimmick was that instead of jumping he would come in kara focus so it's like you stick out a limb from half screen and then HOLY SHIT HE'S RIGHT IN MY FACE NOW WHAT

But then I just beat it by more jabs and Dping more so ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I wish Ultra had a thing like KI's Shadow feature, I'd like to fight me.

I don't think so , Monster Hunter, DMC4, and Dragons Dogma are still the best in their field.
Platinum just has a smaller net of games to hold against them. But they have some notable misses. Like mad word, and the Kora game.

Delay can turn SF matches into a turn based game lol

Just today I had a match where it was like 30 frames of lag.

Very very different game when you have that kind of buffer. Kinda fun in an agonising way
 
Treat delay like weights and when you play local is like you taking them off and using 150% power instead of the regular 100% during lag.
I watched too much anime.

I think my scrub ken makes people salty. Beat this Sim in ranked and he complained that I didn't even use any combos. I'm like, so you lost to fundamentals?

So rising thunder is open alpha now? I think I need to give it a shot. Anyone with windows 10 have issues? I just upgraded

Tried Rising Thunder for a little bit just now. I tried to go to training and it kicked me to straight to a ranking match despite me having literally no idea how the game is played. I don't know if one button normals, and specials work for me. I either chose to just do specials the entire match, or just used my normals. Throws being their own button is weird as well, and the guy I was fighting seemed to have no idea how to stop them. Can you tech throws in RT? I assume you can, otherwise throws would be OP.

The other thing is that I couldn't keep a consistent 60 fps, even dipping as low as 18 fps at one point. Obviously I need to play with my settings a bit, but I fear my laptop is just not powerful enough to play this game. It is pretty in its own way.

Still, not sure I will go back to it too many times.

It's Street Fighter 4 with robots. About the only nice things I can say about it is that it doesn't have reversals that can be mashed out during block strings and there's 10 million option selects. That's about it.

It's so Street Fighter 4 it hurts right now. And I despise Street Fighter 4.
 
VF4 tutorial stuff is really nice. Going to go through everything slowly.

Got stuck at the low throw portion since I didn't know Aoi's low throw. Had to exit into training mode to check the command list.

I should just use Akira for these.

Gamerbee has releasing names of foreign players going to the Taiwan ranking event. Inco, Reiketsu, Chuan, Misse, Humanbomb, Jiewa, Sasa, Gonzalez, Shiro, Tonpy, Storm Kubo, KOK, KojiKOG are confirmed so far.

I'm happy Inco is going as I believe if he attends more events he has the skill to place high and get into the Capcom Cup.



The next Cooperation Cup (3S) was announced. It takes place on January 10th.

While I live in an area much smaller than LA- a hybrid gaming store/arcade setup works very well here.

If you live in Central NC- you should hit Lost Ark in Greensboro at some point, their tournies suck but the place is nice to go to on non-tourney days. They have a bunch of older and some newer games, and often have an obscure modern-gen anime console game around for you to try. I've seen Daemon Bride there at times. They also run the arcade machines at Animazement/TFC- good people in general.


(Their tournies tend to be disorganized and a bit too cramped)
