Forza Motorsport 6 has "wet weather, 3D puddles and night races" + more

Finally the M1 Pro car!!! with the 250 GTO 1962 were both of my most wanted cars...

Now I want the return of the F40 LM and F50 GT.

Good to see a demo to help with the waiting.

Damn, I suppose it was one of EA's demands to remove RUF completely in order to greenlight Porsche. Still kinda BS on their part, considering Horizon 2 had both.

Will we have Photomode in the demo? The Forza Horizon 2 demo had it or am I having a bad memory here?

I highly doubt it, I'm fairly certain they block off most of the features in their demos.

Why would EA care, its more likely a Porsche request.

From what I've read on the matter, Porsche basically use EA as their "videogame marketing department", which means EA make all gaming-related business decisions on behalf of Porsche.
In a nutshell - Porsche are a car maker, EA makes video games, so they let them handle that side of things.

Turn 10 deals exclusively with EA regarding Porsche, I'll have to find the interview with Dan.

Doubt we will, but a preload for the demo would be nice!

Would be nice, but they didn't do it for Horizon 2 so I doubt they'd do it for FM6. Although a few pages back I said we wouldn't get a demo...and now look where we are. I wonder if it'll be the same as the E3 Demo:

Ford GT on Rio
Ferrari 250 GTO on Rio
Lamborghini Huracan on Sebring (Night)
15' Audi TT S Coupe on Brands Hatch (Rain)

Or maybe we'll get more than that. Hopefully the latter!

It seems like mid 90s Porsche made an (lifetime?) exclusive deal which gave EA the license to use Porsche cars in video games. So everyone has to go to EA and sub-license the Porsche cars to use them in their game.

I've heard that Porsche regrets that licensing decision now, but it seems they won't get out of that deal...

Yeah I know that, but EA wouldn't care if RUFs were in the game, unless Porsche told them to make sure they were taken out.

Ugh, either my table is bad (maybe can't put feet right) or I can't drive at all with my Racing Wheel.

I always brake too later or spin myself out when turning.

Guess this ain't for me haha.

Haha, I feel your pain. Started playing FM5 last night and the first 4 races were a combination of placing in the bottom third, spinning out and driving like an idiot.

Guess I should've known, though. I once drove a Lotus Elise around a racetrack here in Denmark with some co-workers of mine. I looked over my right shoulder, when I turned right to get out on the track... old habits die hard.

Suffice to say, I'm not a racing driver. But it's so fun playing FM5 with a proper wheel and pedals!

Oh, its quite fun and when I drive around Prague in under 2:30 in a Ferrari 458, I was happy I did...but also felt I could have done it like 20 seconds faster on the Controller...

And AI on lowest difficulty pummel me!

I never want to learn to drive because I fear ill end up crashing...but I at least want to learn to play Forza with a wheel! But I feel braking is too slow on pedals haha.

Did you change the sensivity on the wheel? That helped me quite a bit, going from "touch-the-wheel-and-spin-out" to "turn-it-240 degrees-to-see-a-reaction". It's easier to control the car like that.

You should learn to drive though. Once you get the gist of the basics, you'll never want to stop driving:)

This was my assumption when the demo was announced, as it would involve very little work.

Exactly. They also took a different demo to Gamescom and subsequent events which has a few different cars, like the Volvo STCC and the Formula Ford.

There's also this - what ever that means

In addition, the demo will include additional features that allow fans to get even deeper into the Forza Motorsport 6 experience. Look for more details on that when the demo launches on September 1!

Thanks! I found out how to change the Preset Sensitivity and out of 4 Options,1 being loose and 4 being so tight that it was hard turn at all, I chose 3.

I have also started to stop pushing the pedal all the way down, making me slower (Best run was 2:36 on Prague in Ferrari 458)...but safer!

Also, pedals and steering ache my body! How do you guys do this crap?!

Finally got a half-decent method of set-up now and I can actually have my legs straight-ish so I don't look like this chap:

Anyone else surprised that the BMW M5 'E60' hasn't made a comeback since Forza 4?

It's weird how one of the most significant modern BMWs is forgotten about lol

Need dat V10.

Early access was the only real reason for getting the ultimate edition and the demo killed that perk. I will probably be canceling on the 1st and picking up a physical copy on the cheap now. Does the ultimate edition mean I will never have to pay for any FM6 dlc?

Car Packs are included for 6 months...

...no-one knows the future.

i never cared about getting the game a few days early anyways, as I'll be playing it for a long time.

I didn't follow all the car announcements and not sure if it made the list for Forza 6 or not?

2012-bmw-m3-dtm-geneva.jpg

That's quite a nice list, and actually makes me consider getting an Xbox.

I'm counting the number of these I had IRL, and there's a good number, and I always like that when playing car games.

How does a demo "kill" early access in any way? It's a DEMO. It will be a feature-less husk of the full game, with maybe a few tracks and maybe 8 cars out of ~450. With none of the features. No career. No photomode. No designs/painting/tuning, it will have limited laps etc etc etc
I have the Ultimate Edition pre-ordered and I'm stoked I get a taste of FM6 even earlier through the demo, it doesn't diminish anything about the Ultimate Edition in my eyes.

I think after 9 days with a limited demo, I'm going to be more than ready for the full package.

Highly doubtful. We already know of a Porsche expansion, and I'll eat my sock after an hour of heal-and-toe shifting if that's included.

Track DLC and monthly car packs beyond the car pass period seem likely as well.

Well that's another kick in the nuts. I was thinking porsche would for sure be included with the ultimate edition. Standard edition plus the porsche pack seems the way to go now. Though with RUF removed I am expecting they will jack up the price of the porsche pack. :[

Do we?, info please, first I've heard about it!

When they released the Porsche expansion for Horizon 2, they said this in the press release:

Bringing Porsche to Forza Horizon 2 is fantastic news for Xbox fans and, even better, it's just the start! The Forza Horizon 2 Porsche Expansion is the result of an agreement between Porsche, EA, and Xbox to bring the Porsche experience to all Xbox One players. In addition to the Forza Horizon 2 Porsche Expansion, this agreement also includes adding Porsche models to Forza Motorsport 6. We will have more details to share in the future on this integration.

Now that the game is gold, how about some new videos. Full lap of le mans at night? Helios? Hell, even a lap round Daytona.

Thanks!

Do you guys think Forza 6 is worth buying an Xbone and a wheel ?
Everyone in this thread will probably say yes, have you played the series before ? If so i would say yes defo, if you have not i would say get yourself to a game store and try it before you buy it. : )

I'm not at all into rain and night driving, and also frankly I don't see all that much of a graphics upgrade from Forza 5,so do you guys think 6 might be worth getting?

Besides must say I'm disappointed that after all the whoopla around dx12 the engine wasn't updated.
Cheers

There's a demo coming out on September 1st.

I had Forza 3 and 4 but there were too many DLCs and I don't enjoy a game when I don't have all the available content. I already tried the game at gamescom.

well there will be plenty of dlc car packs here as well. I liked how forza 5 gave free tracks though, but it remain to be seen it that even carries over to 6.

Can anyone tell me whats with the F&F DLC deal on Xbox live?
It says if you buy F&F7 or the collection, you will get Dom's car for free.

I thought all F&F cars for Forza are already in the dlc which everyone will get?...
