Ok that was awesome. Wish the game was as lively as this commercial. But yeah they should do a pixel mode or DC should do it.

I've enjoyed forza since the first one. It's just that it's been sterile in presentation and the environments. The new rainy stuff is great though.

Stuff like awful music is one thing, but the cockpit/helmet cams in pcars are more exciting and gives a better sense of speed.

I damn near cried watching that. Too funny.

That made me miss the Furai even more seeing it in that clip. That rotary engine noise combined with what felt like infinite grip.. I need that back in my life.

I know there's not even a functional Furai in existence anymore but I still hope we get it as a DLC car at some point. It's #1 on my wish list.

Not a fan of the music either, but I turn it off anyway. At any rate, sterile in this sense is evocative in an unflattering way.

I tried direct link from One Drive and google short links.

I'd use abload like usual, but uploads are screwed up on their site right now for some reason...takes forever to upload multiple images...gets hung.

Any suggestions? I quit using minus and I'm not touching hosting sites that compress the images.
 
Watching Eastx's stream, Prague looks great.

I generally prefer real-word tracks, but I Iove Prague and am really digging Rio de Janeiro.

That was NOT me in the dark blue Nissan R390....omg I'm in tears.

So about the demo. The AWD cars feel much better now, especially the 22B which doesn't feel as "planted" as it did in Forza 5. It feels a lot more lively as it should do.
Interestingly, in the Forza 6 demo it's tuned to C499(stock in Forza 6 it's C459), but if you compare the performance stats in the tuning menu, the numbers are extremely close to the Forza 5 stock 22B's performance numbers at C460. Other than Braking Distances which are longer, and Lateral G's which are slightly worse in Forza 6.

Nice that they've fixed the 22B model as well, the tail lights are much better, the headlights look better too. Proportions are much better, hopefully that's the same for a few of the other cars ie: R32 GT-R Skyline.

I've been using sim-steering on gamepad since Forza 4. It feels good to me and I can set some pretty quick times so I've stuck with it.

I use the normal setting with all assists (apart from ABS because that's standard on cars these days) and it seems to feel more natural with the controller than the simulation setting.
 
Confused why people think this game is sterile. It's a simulation racing game with a ton of features, cool AI, beautiful graphics, and good online play.

I think people who are looking for a Forza Horizon experience might wanna stick with Forza Horizon.

This 100%, you know what you are getting with the Forza Motorsport series.

It's just a shame they still use prebaked lighting and no dynamic weather, but I suppose that's the pay off for a locked 60fps.
 
Is it just the early access that is the difference between the deluxe and ultimate editions?

I bought the ultimate thinking it was more cars. I'm on holiday when it releases.

Not just early access. Its the car pass that makes the difference between deluxe and ultimate. Early Access is just the icing on the cake! I believe its 42 cars over 6 car packs over 6 months till March next year, but don't quote me on that.

Just thinking out loud about dynamic weather.....

There are other technical reasons behind why it isn't there I think, you've got to factor in the systems required for the player actually handling dynamic weather, you've got to program different sets of tyres (slicks, inters, wets, and I wonder how the wet and dry tyre physics are actually modeled in FM6.....) and you've also got to communicate these things to the player, and make it possible that the player is both informed out the conditions, and able to change tyres at will.

Anyone who's played PCars will know that this isn't actually that easy to do, and probably for simplicity sake, and for streamlining the experience for the player, having the races either dry, or wet, make it a much easier proposition.

There's no excuse for no dynamic TOD though ;)

The wet environments somehow make the dry and night ones look... I don't know... less active somehow (if that makes sense). The 'sterile' comments that have followed FM for years are probably down to the lighting, which looks so much better on the wet tracks now.

Sebring in the rain is sooo good....

It makes me want to only race in the wet because of the interesting dynamics it presents.

It's not made for you, Forza happens to be the number one racing franchise amongst middle age French housewives.

After watching a bunch of videos of the full game, it has to be said that the UI and menus really are absolutely gorgeous. Love the new font, too. Everything looks so slick, polished, and intuitive to navigate. Bravo, Turn 10. Top-notch graphic design and overall presentation.

Looks great but come on, Turn 10. Don't populate a GT grid with road cars. That's just daft.

And please either add the option to remove the hands and steering wheel from cockpit view, or for the love of God have full 1:1 visual steering wheel rotation. It totally shatters the immersion. I really, really assumed that this would finally be fixed in FM6.
 
Not a huge racing great guy but I downloaded the demo last night and had a blast. The Indy Car event was awesome, and the last race with the rain was a real increase in difficulty. I think I'm more of a Horizon guy though, really hope the weather effects make it into FH3.
