Destiny |OTForever29| The Season Finale

Got in one last Dark Below story mission to hear Dinklebot wake the hive, and that seems as good a swansong for year one as I could have. I think the first thing I'll do post patch is wake the hive with Nolandroid.

I understand the supply and demand mentality, I just don't think it works well for designing the end game rewards. Again, what percentage of people is low enough for the supply be Lee enough/demand high enough to display the reward? Now, are you really going to create an end game activity designed for that few of people to complete? I don't think that would be very good game design.

There's still good supply/demand stuff locked behind RNG such as Revenant, and it works fine there.

If it's just a cosmetic item, then sure, why not?

I would love an emblem for having a maxed out Grimoire. I would love to see emblems for Flawless Raiders or Platinum (1000/1000 gamerscore) trophies.

All of these specialties are very much high end player stuff that I think should be recognized and rewarded.

Sometimes you wanna show off a little and stand in the tower sporting your new fancy item.

When Trials first came out, and you played a round of Control against 6 perfection emblems, you knew you were in for some shit.

Now, if the same scenario happened, you wouldn't think as much of it.

I am 100% in favor of rewarding players who go to certain extremes, as long as the rewards are mostly cosmetic.

I'll theoretically be getting all the HoW exotic weapons for free by virtue of lassitude... lol. Hey why not.
Hah, you beat me: I'll only be getting one + Thorn.
Had that Thorn bounty at the PVP stage like ever since November... I'm really good at procrastinating. :)

And that's a good thing! It promotes a community that helps. But someone like Drizz who gets 100 people their Skolas emblem should perhaps have a badge of his own to mark his feat no? Or guys who take people to Mercury all weekend long, every weekend - some for the fame and donations, others in anonymity just to help out - shouldn't they have a token to display the skill and dedication this requires?
I can get behind this but how do you reward it? Number of completions? Then you'll create the farming mindset people don't like. VIP in the fireteam? Then you get people fighting over kill stealing and such (I personally hate the co-op games that do this, if a game is co-op I don't want to feel like I'm competing against my teammate).

Just got to figure out a good way to recognize those players.

The Purifier Robes are not that good, I tired in PvP for Trials and PvE in Nightfall. It's too situational. The Blinding area of affect only affects the location of your Rebirth.
The blinding affect does not follow your movement while you are in Radiance from Rebirth.

It is no Saint-14

In PvE it allows you to self-revive even in shitty situations when swarmed by enemies and not get meleed to low health or death during resurrection animation, which is nice.

another negative is that Shaders don't change its color and it is just plain white.

Only Voidfang Vestiments allows it to change colors with the shaders.

So I want to see if I'm understanding this correctly. After the 2.0 hits, the new leveling system will be in play.

That would mean that we would have to actually grind XP to get our level up past 20, right?

For those of us that are resetting or have gear sitting in the vault for a specific class, they no longer have the luxury of insta-max level by equipping a few pieces of gear?

Oh, I also have like 5 other Exotic bounties that'll get completed as well XD

I just want to complete my year one collection. All that's left are purifier robes and radiant dance machines.

Correct. Level cap will be 34 until 9/15 but you need to grind EXP all the way to level 34 after 2.0 patch hits. No more insta leveling from 20-34.

That is just general issue with many Warlock exotics. Shaders either don't affect them or when they affect them they turn into ugly single color messes, especially with those huge long coats.

Correct. Why are you rerolling your character though?

sure, but then the activity can't be something like Skolas because people need that for etheric light and cores (at first) and Ciphers. Can't be something like Trials because people need that for good elemental primaries (why are elemental primaries a PVP reward? Discussion for another day).

Grimoire/trophy related cosmetics sounds solid.

Zoba are you still looking for 2.0 titles?

Destiny 2.0 | 2 Frabjous, 2 Furious
Destiny 2.0 | Taken 2 the Limit
Destiny 2.0 | Dawn of a New Day
Destiny 2.0 | The Game so Nice, They Released it Twice
Destiny 2.0 | A Guardian Reborn
Destiny 2.0 | Gjallarhorn's Demise
or
Destiny 2.0 | Gjallarhorn's Grave, Not Ours

50 Skolas clears where 1 or more members of the Fireteam are doing it for the first time. If it incites farming it'll be "PLZ MORE NEWBIES COME WITH ME" which isn't a bad thing :p

50 Mercury flawless passages where 1 or more members of the Fireteam have never been there.

VoG HM / CE HM flawless (separate emblems)

That kind of thing. A designer could come up with better stuff. Just saying there should be tokens of merit for those who are extra skilled, dedicated or helpful.

Absolutely correct. If you do not want to fully reset your progress to base and level from 1-40, do not "reset".

The level requirements for existing Year One gear, even without the Light-level factor, is currently a mystery to me. They may require level 20 to equip, be equippable from the very beginning, require level 30 to equip, level 34, or something even weirder.

I'll be home in around 40 minutes, anyone up by then for 3xNF + 3xWeekly runs quickly? Like doing the six of them in 90 minutes quick. I'm gonna need help.

All great title suggestions :)

I want to make an exo female Hunter.

Bungie should really put a Sex-Race-Face change machine in the tower... make it expensive but still they should do it.

I'm guessing they will only change what needs to be changed. So the requirements will still be level 20 to wear it but now it only boosts your new light stat by a marginal amount.

I dont understand why we can't even rotate our characters when creating them. You'd think that's pretty basic stuff you'd want in the game. Maybe memory limitations? Who knows...

My final year one Nightfall. This reward screen is borderline poetic.

I was remote playing from work and kept on dropping connection, so that's my excuse for the terrible performance. Gjallarhorn literally joined after Phogoth was already dead.

Hell, rule of thumb is that if you see a flawless emblem in Trials now, they were carried or are not very good. I'd say it holds up in 3/4 of the times you see it.

Shouldn't be when considering we can freely spin our gear around in preview now.

Grimoire/trophy related cosmetics sounds solid.

My favorite idea I ever saw on Reddit was to turn all the Medals (or at least the harder to get ones) you can get from Crucible into emblems, then people can sport their proudest medal they ever acheived as their emblem if they so wanted.

Then you might see people with 7th column, Unbreakable, We ran out of Medals, and Sum of all Tears as Emblem. That would be awesome.

Exactly. Usually if I see a full team sporting the same emblem/shader I assume they aren't actually that great, and are hoping to just psych out the other team in hopes they will quit/leave and they'll get a free pass.

Having PVE rewards in trials was a genius idea by Bungie, it really brought trials to the forefront.

PSA: Petra currently has the Skoriks bounty for those who are missing that grimoire.

It may be gone after the patch and who knows if/when bungie will get around to adding the mission to the director.
