I have insider imformation that chapter 3 can be unlocked somehow, thats all I can say.

He has to be kidding lmao.

LOL WUT

Damn some people really aren't taking this ending well. The phantom pain is real.

Big Boss is a monster asshole. He became the very thing he adamantly tried not to be:

Big Boss has used one of his most trusted men as a pawn to further his own self-interests – rather hypocritical of him, considering that he left the CIA precisely because he wanted to create a nation where soldiers would no longer be used and manipulated by their higher-ups. He strips the medic of his identity, and forces him to carry on his legacy in the eyes of the public.

Spamming decoys and especially active decoys can lead to interesting situations. People also find the posters on the box and how enemy soldiers react to them differently humorous.

It's fun that I defend this kind of stuff even though I literally never use it (I think it's... dumb and doesn't fit the tone of the game. I already know the AI is extremely predictable as is, I don't need these items to dominate them :p)

A legitimatly awesome and game breaking item is the Infinity Bandana you can develop after beating the game, especially since it also gives the suppressors infinite durability.

Silently sniping fools for days. :D

Oh, didn't know that. Will develop it asap (when i got the requirements for it...)

Yeah, someone needs to let Kojima know:

People keep saying "data mining"' what did they find really? Almost nothing that was actually cut as far as we know. Nothing about ep 51, and everything that has been found, except MAYBE "The Boss"' skin (which is probably linked to the DLC skins), I can't think of any. Maybe an audio file? Even that doesn't mean much.

So the only thing I can think of anyone might have found by data mining that isn't in the game is the CHAPTER 3 title card, which might be in it.

edit: oh I see

I am pretty sure they linked the Boss to the MGO character bonus you get. along with Eva.

Part of the CE i think.

It's almost as if Big Boss is supposed to be a bad person, a villain perhaps.

And yet Big Boss is a pretty good guy throughout the entirety of TPP. Even gangsta numba 1 triple OG Big Boss isn't 'demonic' in any way or even hinted at as losing his shit for what little he appeared in TPP.

Threedogg you stupid motherfucker. I can't believe I actually fell for that haha, I feel like a FEWL.

brb, unsubbing from Uknighted.

at no point yet in my time with TPP i have felt the character is becoming Evil. Apart from Mission 43. But that one is debatable.

Exactly. Even in mission 43 Medic Boss was killing them to contain the pathogen. He didn't "want" to kill them. Half of them even asked for it & saluted as they knew what had to be done.

Don't believe his lies. lol.

I think the only moment i went. oh shit, what did you do Boss? was when he shot at the kids in the rescue the kids mission. I thought he killed them to put them out of their misery.... but then i was.. no way he just would shoot them. And he didn't. and he remained a good Boss.

Whatever happened to the downfall of Big Boss? i guess we can write our own fan fiction now of what happened to BB story.

Sounds like another jackass desperate for attention like those ingsoc twats.

Not so. Also, Dogg is a prominent MGS community member who wouldn't sink to those levels lmao.

nah dont get too excited, i was speaking to a dev that made some interesting remarks that heavily suggested that chapter 3 is there though

Sooo... maybe. But he was kidding for the most part.

But yeah, always could just be fiddlin' us.

It would've been great if those missions and cutscenes were altered if Venom had low heroism/went mostly lethal. So instead of saluting him before death, they'd be cursing his name, and during the funeral scene, some of the soldiers would look angry/uncomfortable and mutter under their breath.

Sadly the trailers did not depict TPP for what it actually turned out to be. Not even close. Missing links? Full circle? "Big Boss" becoming the villian that is defeated by Solid Snake? Come on, wtf

Gotta say, that the trailers tell a much better story than the story in TPP.

It's like you're going on a historical tour bus through MGS history. You come to a fork in the path shaped like a V. One path is the more interesting road that explores Big Boss and Zero's activities during that time. The other road is a detour that explores the uninteresting history and answers questions that no one cared to ask. On your left you can see the parasites which nanomachines were derived from. And on your right you can finally see what Psycho Mantis was up to as a kid. And here's the worlds largest tumbleweed passing through Afghanistan.

If people datamined the Nuke cutscene, surely they would've found others if there really was a hidden chapter 3.

I wouldn't put it past Kojima to hide something, but not an entire chapter.

Just pretend Big Boss' story ends after MGS3. It does a very effective job on how he would become a villain compared to PW/V. (Honestly the idea behind those games didn't need to exist from a story perspective anyway) In my mind those are spin off non canon side stories now.

Gotta say, that the trailers tell a much better story than the story in TPP.

Sigh sad but true.

The CM basically said the same thing when people uncovered the nuke cutscene.

Yeah, it's there... commented out of the games code so nobody can unlock it normally.

How else would people be hitting 100% without seeing this mysterious Chapter 3 beyond anything but the image and that cutscene?

The sad thing is that if Metal Gear Solid V ended after the conclusion with skullface, with Chapter 1, I was ready to love it. Nowhere near Metal Gear Solid 1, 2, or 3, but good enough to not be embarrassed by it like Metal Gear Solid 4 or Peace Walker. Then it went and shit on everything.

Yep. Anyone can logically fill in the pieces of how Big Boss goes from Metal Gear Solid 3 to the villain. We didn't need all this filler crap that is too afraid to even turn him into the villain he is supposed to be. I think Kojima fell too in love with his character and couldn't even figure out a solid way to make an anti-hero out of him.

I mentioned that Castlevania did one of those magical moments in gaming where you hit 100% only to find you have 200% to complete with the dark castle.

It was awesome.

Doubt that that is the case in this game tho.

The "chapter 3" title card was in the files, yeah?

It could literally be a case of chapter 3 is present in terms of "placement" as well as other factors, but nothing major, nothing that can be reconstructed and nothing that is substantial.

There's maybe triggers in the code, unsued items or textures but saying "chapter 3 is there" is probably misleading.

Yeah, I know, that's another thing too. So who knows. :/

Edit: He tweeted some more, someone do the images for me I'm playing MGSV atm.

One

Two

Three

Chapter 3 = Peace = Disarm all the nukes

Honestly, I have a feeling that's exactly what it is.

I mean, the nuke symbols get replaced by peace symbols for Odin's sake!

Inverted bases.

As if the normal grind wasn't enough...

Stop! Stop! He's already a demon.

Honestly, I have a feeling that's exactly what it is.

Makes sense, the last chapter being something that is intrinsically tied to the online component. Would suck hard for those who doesn't have a reliable internet connection, but I could definitely also see that.

Some people would be very disappointed about that though!
