I'd stick with a character I know if I was on a main stage since I wouldn't want to learn a character on the spot knowing next to nothing in front of thousands of people.
I also don't care about background stages.

Right now he's someone literally going through every normal and special move Ken has, so it's obviously a situation set up to learn how characters work.

People are basing this on the fact that those 2 bring playstyle archetypes that arent in the game right now, but the newcomers could fill that roll. Or maybe with how capcom is approaching SF5 they are content with keeping mika as the grappler of the game. At least in the initial roster.

Zen is a Bogard leak, which implicitly rules out Sim.

That depends on if Capcom deems India worthy of more than 1 rep in the base roster. Usually it's America & Japan that gets such representation.

UK already has two, you always forget. It all depends on Zen's playstyle more than anything. Might not even be Indian.

There is no quota for any country representatives. India is getting pretty big so I'm pretty sure they could get more than one Indian. [Not talking about starter roster. Just overall roster.]
Rachid was an error in translation. A good number of us (myself included) pointed out the correct Rashid spelling before his reveal.
North Africa, Brazil, India were the 3 locations. Rashid turned out to be Dubai, but Laura's almost certainly from Brazil.
Right? And we still don't know what's the deal with North Africa (Rachid is clearly from the Gulf).
