If Street Fighter tradition demands that a stretchy fighter is included, I'm hoping for a new character, or at least Necro.

There's a chance that Zen could be stretchy I guess because his name and rumored origin (South Asia) make him sound a lot like Dhalsim. And I mean we might get Necro for DLC in 2020 or something, but I doubt he's that high on the list because Capcom probably wants people to buy the DLC characters.

What if "Zen" is really Dhalsim? He changes his name and fighting style because, through meditation, he achieves zen.

He builds V-gauge off his far-reaching target combo because of it, though. That's good enough for me.
Vega is looking beast mode. He's my favorite character, but I also think he has the tools for this game. Especially with weak walkspeeds and weaker AAs from a lot of the cast.

I liked 3s' combo system. Every combo was jab jab super unless you found a launcher or did something cool then you got some insane 7-hit payoff every once in a while. Kept the pace of the game up but every now and then there'd be this exclamation mark on a round.
Unless you play Yun. Then it's just all the time.

V-trigger could give him one or two hits of hyper armor, which could make his grabs and lariats harder (but not impossible) to evade.

It's going to kill the hype anyways if Gief and Sim really are the last two returnees. Any SF4 returnees should have been announced much earlier to get them out of the way. Capcom has to know the ho-hum reactions they'll get out of them.
I'm still hoping for Alex/Urien.

Its going to be the same as how Cammy and Vega reveals havent killed the hype.
They will be revealed alongside 2 new characters Laura and Zen.
Just like how Cammy and Vega were revealed alongside Birdie and Necalli.
Plus I am willing to bet there will be a story trailer at PSX. Its the last BIG event left.

I get what you are saying , but apart from Vega and Birdie. None of the other reveals have been too surprising. So I am expecting it to follow through.

Stop saying this. There's no reason to think they wouldn't reveal the Alex and Urien DLC well before launch. It wouldn't create ill will because it's free, it would do the opposite in fact.
It's not free. Especially for people who want to main those characters at launch.
