That isn't actually true. There was a "leak" that included Gief and Sim released shortly have the Bogard leak. It piggybacked Bogard's leak by using the same names for the new characters. People have been mentioning them (in relatively small numbers) since that supposed leak. However, it has definitely already been proven false.

It's a pet peeve with Sean being an english name. I don't have anything against the Matsuda name, it sounds cool and japanese descendants are pretty common around these parts.
A better example would be Roberto Miura from Rival Schools, now that's a name I can believe.

I'm talking about after that. That list came up and was proven false almost straight away and then the Gief/Sim talk died down for ages, but it's only recently flared up for no real reason.

Yeah, both characters were actually in a bunch of rumors, but all of them, without question, have been proven false.
The Siliconera leak is the only one that is still plausible (beyond the already confirmed Bogard leak, that is). It is also the most reputable of all the sources. That probably isn't a coincidence.
If Alex and Urien are in the game, then this is one of the best rosters SF has had yet. Excluding Vega, all the characters look interesting and fun to play as and the character models are such an improvement over SF4 that it makes me want to throw my copy of Ultra in the bin. Can't wait for this game to come out.

I'm saying, he looks the most interesting.
I don't mind Vega (he's better than Sim/Gief/T-Hawk/Blanka) but his presence in the starting roster baffles me. He just feels out of place for some reason. Like he shouldn't be there yet. I don't know why.

Maybe its cause out of all the SFII characters in the game hes like one the least relevant,like if it were Sagat, or Akuma,or Guile i think theyd fit in more
Personally, I think Claw is the best Street Fighter 2 character. I don't really use him (my good friend mains him and my group of friends tries to play different characters), but I think he makes every Street Fighter roster better.
I think there's a place for all of them, I would love a bigger roster. Gief and Dudley are my two most wanted characters now but I know I won't get them until DLC.
I'm actually shocked Guile isn't in the starting roster. Nash is so different to him now and because of Nash he actually has relevance to the story now. But nah, Vega tho.

Yeah, he's my favorite character that i was never able to play as, i just can't use charge characters. Him being changed in SFV is the best thing that couldve happend to Vega. Atleast from my perspective lol
Oh yeah, I agree 100%. I really hope everyone gets who they want eventually, but in terms of the starting roster I want as much character diversity as possible. Gief and Sim ain't diverse.

If more Street Fighter 2 characters are gonna be included they should at least include the rest of the original 8 world warriors over time.
Also, kinda random, but I really hope Zangief shows up so we can see if we'll actually get 360 motions in this game.

I'm not firing shots at people's favourites, if that's what it looks like. If you like Vega then I'm genuinely happy for you, because he looks pretty great to play as, if you're a fan. He's just not exciting to me, that's all. Didn't mean to offend anyone.

Out of any SF2 character i think theyed choose to come back i think the only character id expect less than Vega are Deejay and Honda

I was about to freak out when i saw Balrog but then i remembered Japanese names.
Pretty sure it's already been confirmed that 360s are gone.
Same here. Ken was never really anything to me, but ever since he was revealed for SFV I've gone back to the other games and played him and now he's in my top 5.
