Was Alex really trending. Find it weird.

Particularly because it is such a common name. Could have been anyone.

Which is yet another thing against him and favoring Zangief. Zangief s name, design and lore are much more distinct than alex's.

Not my words but theirs basically haha. Ono said that he really like how MK's story mode is and wanted to improve SF's similar to how MK is doing it. I for one kinda doubt we'd get anything like MK's but an improve Story mode would be great. They should've gone all out with A3/SF3 style character intros as a start but that's not happening since every character only has 1 intro so far.

They might show an American character at NYCC, but I wouldn't bet money on it. Street Fighter has established appeal in the US, perhaps more so than anywhere, and Capcom has said bluntly that Rashid specifically is an attempt to grow SF in the Middle East. Russia is also a growth market for games, especially PC games that they will want to pander to.

Are there any Indian gaming event coming up?

Then again, Zen could be a totally radical surfer dude, personally I was hoping for a hippy living in a house truck from New Zealand, but I'd be happy with a surfer dude too.

We have one more returning (SF2) character left. We know we're getting a reveal at BGS. Ono already teased Blanka earlier this year by cosplaying as him.

I originally thought that was too obvious and Ono was just trolling. But, after him using gief's belt as a teaser, I don't know what to think anymore.

Also, blind cynicism tends to be a good way of predicting Capcom's actions.

It's a new character. Wanna avatar bet it or something?

I mean Capcom said the green section were characters you'd expect/classic sf characters. You guys have no one to blame but yourself, they were transparent about it.

That can be possible but i think a new character is much more likely.

Now, what I'm wondering about most now is why Zangief comes with his own stage, one that is shown on the character art above, instead of him sharing the wrestling stage with R.Mika that was shown in her art.

Either Capcom is planning to make far more stages than they've shown so far, perhaps even as DLC, or they've somehow chosen to be completely inconsistent with regards to which character art has a background that will appear in an actual stage.

I still hope it's the former and that we'll see many more stages, including a New York stage (from Ken's art), a Dubai one (from Rashid's art) etc.

I still feel like there's shared stages. It could be like Injustice. Didn't you or someone else suggest that the different backgrounds could be alternate versions of the same stage?


Nash's background is almost certainly what's in the cave of Forgotten Waterfall stage
Birdie's looks like it could be off to one side of the Union Station stage (that even looks like the stage itself in the back where his trail swirls from)
Vega's actually looks like the Union Station too (same windows in Cammy's art)... or Dio's mansion :P
Ryu's could be an alternate version of Karin's stage... the pink part on the far right side looks a bit like Karin's stage, and they both have a similar view of the moon next to a mountain
R. Mika's stage could be Zangief's when they use it for legit wrestling instead of this underground debauchery they got going on with bears tied up an shit
