Seriously, fuck those ignorant bigots.

For those of you watching football for the first time. You want the ball to never hit the ground (incomplete pass) and you want everyone to stay in bounds to keep the clock moving. Change in possession is a commercial too, so root for one team to keep the ball.

I can't bare to watch the game, I'm up .40 in my fantasy league and will likely lose any minute lol. What time does the trailer come out online?

There's seven and a half minutes left on the clock so like 20+ minutes.
Unless both teams agree to the Dowlegger Touchback, which allows both teams to try and score from the 50 yard line until one gets a safety, usually 10 minutes per attempt. This is definitely looking Dowlegger to me.

Is soccer not really the same?

This sounds weird when i read football and you mean American Football, and all I think is the ball is always on the ground like its supposed to be.

Quick question about NFL. Why does the timer sometimes stops and sometimes keeps goong?

No, in football theres 45 mins per half, clock never stops and no commercials.

An incomplete pass or a player running out of bounds stops the clock.

Quick answer, when you throw the ball if it's ruled "incomplete" the clock stops. If you catch it and fall in bounds, it keeps going. If you run the ball, the clock keeps going, unless you run out of bounds.

Remember when people thought Avengers would provide some competition?

I wonder how dumb those guys feel.

Well, on one hand no Star Wars movie has ever grossed as much as either Avengers movie. On the other hand, the last "real" Star Wars movie came out in 2005 (I just can't count the Clone Wars movie, even if it is canonical). Since 2005, ticket prices have risen a lot, thanks to inflation and extras such as 3D and IMAX. Since 2009 (with Avatar), the amount of billion dollar movies has blown up. So, I have no clue which movie will do better at this point.

I'm actually afraid to check and discover that I'm not joking.

When the play ends out of bounds, with an incomplete pass, or a score, the clock stops. If the play stops by being tackled in bounds the clock continues to go.

EDIT: Teams also have 3 timeouts per half to use to stop the clock and give them a set amount of time to strategize, stop the clock and if you are Mark Sanchez, have a hot dog.

I'll never forget the folks that thought James Earl Jones recording for ten minutes meant they were getting at least ten minutes of Darth Vader* in Revenge of the Sith.

*you know what I mean

The clock stops on an incomplete pass, a runner going out of bounds, or a change of possession.

In American football the clock stops at changes of possession, incomplete passes, whenever a ball carrier goes out of bounds, at the 2 minute warning, and when time out is called by a coach, by officials on the field, or replay officials off site. I'm prob missing some.
