Joke's on him, this is what I see!

Is there a proper working addon for firefox? I tried a greesemonkey script but it doesn't seem to work.

Can someone who has this game confirm whether or not it is as shallow as Skyrim?

Given the feature list, it will likely be similar with the exception of the crafting and the base building which adds some more depth than Skyrim.

I can almost guarantee it is, probably even more so.

Why more so? Why is that probable? Skyrim didn't even have the civil war mechanics.

We'll just have to wait and see, I guess. I must not be thinking enough like a sinister corporate businessman, if I was a game developer I couldn't in good conscience sign a deal to market the most flawed version of my product.

Look at the last COD that was under MS marketing. Digital foundry gave the win to the PS4 version despite being associated with MS. I'm pretty sure it was the PS4 version sent for review too?

And its not REALLY sinister. It is just business. Bethesda arn't going to say no to free marketing and a truck full of money. As long as they get the marketing, and MS get the IP association, and the game gets the best chance to review well by sending out the most solid release. Litterally everyone involved from a business standpoint wins.

I think the shallow part of Skyrim was the loot scaling. It mostly didn't matter which dungeon you were exploring at a given time because you were guaranteed to find the same sort of stuff in all of them. It wasn't like Morrowind where you could sneak your way into a high-level place, steal a bunch of awesome stuff, and escape by the skin of your teeth.

Some of the feedback I've read suggests more of the Morrowind style, but I doubt its to that extent (i.e., running into areas that you are underleveled for, legendary enemies, etc.). One can hope though.

Bummer about the frame rate, but did anyone look at those tucking comments?

Did anyone know "NeoFag" is a thing? https://********/v/neofag
Some of the most disgusting shit I've read.

Assuming that is 4Chan:

A) Its 4chan, what you'd expect
B) No WAY in hell I'm going near it. Trying to stay spoiler free with regards to the ending.

EDIT: Same goes for Reddit.

I had no idea that existed.

Because that's been Bethesda's track record for the past 10 years.

So with comparison in feature lists, your position is track record that F4 will be more shallow than Skyrim. Despite F4 have two significant gameplay expansions? And yes, 'dialogue wheel!', but if your about to tell me that its a significant fall back from the "rich" dialogue of Skyrim, you need to go play it again.

I don't think it's that big of a deal at all. To call something like this "inexcusable" is quite a bit much IMO. Hell, there could even be a day one patch that takes care of it, anything can happen. I'm shocked that so many people are freaking out over it. Should it perform better? Sure! Can it? Most likely! It's probably a bug of some form, who knows? Regardless I'm hoping it's something that can be patched out so everyone has an enjoyable experience.

Sooo... You didn't play Skyrim on ps3.

Damn people are just bloodthirsty over this game. The closer it gets to release, the more fervent the hate seems to become. Ugly, bad frame rate, small world, probably going to sell 7 million copies before the end of the year and some people are going to call it abysmal failure.
Shit, someone made a comparison between all three versions and it's not looking good...

Blast from the past! Rick Astley has an awesome voice. Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go was the next song on auto play, immediately thought about Zoolander, good times.

Figured this would run the worst on PS4. I just had a hunch.

So if this runs better on XB1 can we finally start to talk about MS marketing deal shenanigans because this would make it 100%. The other games that ran better on XB1 all had marketing deals but anytime anyone brings it up they get a tinfoilhat.gif thrown in their face.

If it truly does run worse on the PS4, then bethesda are completely incompetent or just simply did not put any effort into the PS4 version. There's no excuse for it either way. None. The PS4 has a more powerful GPU from the same vendor with the same architecture, the exact same CPU with a minor difference in clock speed, and faster, simpler memory setup. The systems are so similar in architecture that you'd practically have to try to make the game run worse on PS4.

i can understand the game suffering from performance issues because it's bethesda, but if the xbone version somehow turns out to run better than the ps4 version at the same resolution, then i will be dumbfounded.

Considering how close they are in hardware I find it very hard to believe one problem not showing up in another version for consoles.

Why? Not like it would be the first time.

Bethesda is pretty much a DirectX house, it seems like if they have to code on something that isn't DirectX, they tend to fall apart in one respect or another, so it shouldn't surprise anyone if they screw this up out of the gate.

Umm...just no.

I shrugged when I watched the first video, but was surprised when I watched the scope one. That looked really, really rough. Between that, some of the indoor textures, and the load times, it does kinda feel like a mess.

is this gonna be the same issue on Xbox One? i guess we'll know when DF does their analysis.

That's the only way to know for sure, indeed. But I haven't read no one complaining about frame rate issues in the XB1 version yet. So hopefully, it doesnt suffer from this issue.
