So after a steep early difficulty curve, my weapons and level got good enough that I've pulled ahead, and bumped the difficulty up one notch. Not it feels about right again.

A wonderfully epic assault on a car manufacturing facility (I though it would be a small bandit hideout - turned into an hour + assault on a huge building) has been the highlight of my play so far. I'm still bummed I can't find a house/settlement that doesn't suck, and I don't understand the settlement/container systems at all, so I'm still lugging around too much stuff without any place to store them. I don't want to go too deep into questing or I'll have to ditch a ton of valuable stuff, so I'm feeling kind of stuck and discouraged right now.

Keep a 'base' to store stuff without building on it, IE the Red Rocket Gas Station. Store your stuff in one of the workshop modules, and then just remember it in case you want to make your own little place little on. There's alot of places you can settle too, I've found about 9.

I can't for the life of me figure out why my happiness is dropping and has a down arrow. They have everything! TVs, furnitures, beds, water, food... The works.

They're still bitching? Why? No exclamation marks in build mode OR at the workshop tab on my map. Don't know why to do anymore!

This is the red rocket settlement by the way.

Local Leader perk I think so you can build stores.

You can just put down a pre-built shack on an empty lot in Sanctuary and put beds plus containers there if you don't want to be hassled with building your own. At least you have a place to rest/store your items.

As for the workshops like armor/weapon/chemical/food you don't have to build them, just drag them around from that house in front of your old house (the chemical is behind one of the house near the bridge that leads to Red Rocket) in Sanctuary to your shack for easy access (and put a new fast travel spawning point there too for good measure)

Is it possible to show the Museum of Witchcraft as "completed" on the map screen? There's nothing left inside.
When I was there, I grabbed the Deathclaw egg and left, assuming I could return to kill it later.

I wonder if Sanctuary will ever get attacked, or if I'll give a fuck about it.

the people there are still salty about
Mama Murphy's death
, it's hilarious. and to be honest her model was fucking horrendous so I'm glad she ain't there anymore.

I don't think I have used VATS more then 5 times I just snipe and kill everything, haven"t bothered using it.

It is actually build dependent.
By end game I was running with max AGI and max LUK perks.
Every time I hit something in VATS 2-3x it's a stored Crit. A legendary pop out, I switch to high powered rifle at max range. 2% hit chance? No problem. Crit. Brotherhood helmet comes off. Another crit. It's dead.

I am level 39 and have played for over 45 hours and I still haven't started the first main storyline quest (
meeting this detective dude
) in Diamond City. I almost completely filled up the map with all the locations I found. I just love exploring the world.

If I complete the main story line, can I still do all the side quests in the game?

Well, at one point you will have to commit to a single faction which will mean no more side quests from the other ones except the Minutemen, you can always do stuff for them since they are basically your faction. The real problem it seems to me is that there doesn't seem to be much side quest content outside of the faction quests, after I finished the main story I went looking for some new side quest stuff and couldn't find any outside of boring faction stuff which is probably infinite.

happiness was at 99, got attacked by two Supermutants - killed them but happiness kept dropping to 97 now won't go up anymore for no reason. I WAS SO CLOSE.

I need a mod that gives me a list of where my companions are at all times. I keep forgetting where I send them and then they disappear.

First I lost Dogmeat (found him now), but now Nick is missing -_-

Soooo I think I just repaired something without materials?
One of my settlements was under attack and so I went to clear things out, afterwards I found that a defense turret was damaged and not providing defense, I went to repair it but I didn't have mats there but I clicked e anyways. I went back to my main stash in sanctuary to grab some mats and when I got back the turret was repaired.

????

I need to rethink my armour approach. I gave up using the extras and went with the Brotherhood Fatigues. Things were fine for the most part until a couple levels ago. What's a recommended lvl 16 armour set up?

Man this game is gonna take me forever. 25 hours in Level 19 and the only questline stuff I've done is the Brotherhood stuff up to the
airship
and a couple early Minutemen quests.

Yea I'm built the same way, VATS is really overpowered in this game.

I just came across two of the exact same NPC in a raging firefight. Name was
Art
.

Does this have any story significance or was it a glitch?

The exact same thing happened to me and I assumed it was a glitch -- it turns out it's supposed to be an encounter where you come across the two of them each accusing the other of being a synth. By the time I saw them, they were shooting the hell out of each other.

do you get something for 100% happiness?

Trophy/Achievement.

Also, royally pissed off now that I cooked those Boatfly Glands, hahaha. Now I'm missing out on an easy way to make money from the Science Center in Diamond City from that gal that gives 150 caps a pop (potentially more through Charisma check, it's a red for me so I don't bother) for them. Royally pissed, hahaha... ://////

If only I knew beforehand.....................

Don't make the same mistake as me, folks :(

oh wow, i've been cooking em like crazy. i won't now, thanks for the tip!

So write down where my companions are sent to and don't sell them glands :P

Might be time to head to Diamond City after 26 hours of mostly exploring, Settlements and only 7 quests.

Well to be fair it *seems* like it's a repeatable quest but I can't check since I ran out those glands since I cooked them :(((((((

Maybe someone can confirm?

Man, the end of "Hunter/Hunted" was damn disappointing -- you spend the entire quest
playing cat and mouse with the courser only for it to end with a 30-second conversation and then combat immediately afterwards. Not a fan of quests that thrust you into face-to-face combat encounters
.

Just reached diamond city at level 21. Wow. It runs surprisingly well on my pc. It looks so dense at first site. And the mocap.... Well beth is obviously showing out here with that. Looks pretty cool.

My most frustrating quest in this game has been
The Silver Shroud where you have the option to save Kent

So my favorite part of the game
Swan in Boston Commons

So amazing.

Need help with Blind Betrayal.
Really don't want to kill my mentor. My charisma is low and he won't accept anything else. Any options other than leveling up charisma and coming back later?

I think there's charisma equipment you could use, not sure where to get it though

edit:
"If you want charisma gear, look for glasses and TRILBY HAT. The best outfit is the Reginald's suit (male) and Agatha’s Dress (female) for completing the Curtain Call side quest at Trinity Tower. This grants +3 Charisma, or +5 with the hat and glasses"
(it's from a video of PS4Trophies' youtube channel)

O_o

Man I did it at level 7, pretty much just ran the whole way through ignoring as much enemies/quests/new discovered areas as I can, hahaha, just head straight towards it. Quite a rush navigating the journey to there from Sanctuary.
