I was wondering why the stats would look out of whack. Almost all my settlements will have exclamation marks even if the points are high enough too.

Assign someone to it. You can use artillery grenades to bombard nearby locations
Assign a person to it and then throw a smoke artillery grenade by the marking. With all the settlement building each object will have either a Person or a Lightning Bolt when you build it. If it is a person it needs to be assigned, if it is a lightning bolt you need to attach electricity. In workshop mode go find a minutemen (not the one on the radio) and click command and then run up to the artillery gun and click assign.

i was looking around for ten minutes for a person, the asshole whouldn't get up from the radio and i couldn't find anyone. then a dude just randomly appeared.
The radio guy cannot be moved. he's assigned.

If you have trouble finding people you can build a Bell in miscellaneous and ring it and all the settlers will come to you.

Hold the use button. It's weird.
This shit is hilarious, in a bad way. I don't think I've ever seen a single Vertibird and not eventually see or hear it go down and end in a huge fiery death.

Completed the silver shroud quest. Anyone know when Kent is supposed to fire up the radio again? It's been a while and I haven't heard anything yet.
I saw one actually crashed and not blown up, its nose was a few feet under the ground and soldiers were just walking around, then, suddenly, it shot up into the air and flew away!

Huh, really? They seem to retreat more often than not to me.
finally hit lvl 18, lvled up to master tier lock picking, and went back to get the cryo gun in the starting vault. Seems pretty cool, didn't seem to have a lot of upgrade mods so not sure how long i'll use it, but love the freezing effect. Gonna say worth on using 3 points in lockpicking. ha

I encountered a bug last night on the ps4. While walking my character was going in and out of blurry vision. I thought my character was poisoned or addicted to something but I didn't know what. Healed myself all up and the blurry vision still kept coming in and out. I looked at my stats and my perception was down to 0.... I tried to find a solution but apparently there isn't one for ps4. It sucks I had to lose 2 hours of advancement because of this...

What's a good .45 (pipe) weapon? I have a shit ton of ammo of that but most of the Pipe weapons just plain suck.

Im told theres a companion that can lockpick all locks, havent found tbat person yet tho, i got the one that can hack terminals. Im waiting till i find the lockpicking one for that weapon, i only put 1 point into lockpicking and thats good enough imofinally hit lvl 18, lvled up to master tier lock picking, and went back to get the cryo gun in the starting vault. I may be wrong, but I think they're like traps to alert nearby enemies.

Those side quests I believe are repeatable essentially, so they never end?
The Pipe revolver is alright until you get a combat rifle that uses .45 ammo. It's a beast.

They can be used as motion detectors. If one goes off, get ready for a fight just in case (not always!)

Couldn't find an answer online for how to raise my science skill/level.
Edit: I think I figured it out myself.
I've been to the science center in diamond city, and the lady there calls me "junior scientist" afte thawing completed that initial task for her, but now what do I do?

Yep. Just made her mine and put a ring on it yesterday. "Put on some clothes this instant! You'll catch a cold!" Hng (Context: My character wore no pants for about 25 hours of gameplay ).
Seriously, Bethesda put more effort in NPC comments about lack of clothing than anything else dialogue-related. Everyone has something to say. Lol
eh i'm impatient to wait til that companion comes long, by then i'll forget where all the master locked things I've ran into already are.

I like they dialed back on the heroeness of the BoS in this game. Yeah they act better, but more pompous and people treat them with more contempt than like the epic heroes from 3.

I gave up fussing over carry weight and set it to 9000. If there's ever another JES type mod I'll fret over carry weight then, but for now I'm free to pick up every broken lamp I see!
