I'll get Vice City for the 5th time, it's the only mainline GTA I never beat, and I'm too lazy to configure a controller for the PC version. Trophies are a big bonus.

Maybe I'll finally play Rogue Galaxy.

Hopefully they bring along both the Champions and Dark Alliance games. Less hope for the latter two.

I'm not worried about the pricing as such, but since I own the Ps2 classics of all 3 GTA's I think it's only fair I should get a discount.

I'm glad I saved my 15.00 credit from that last deal they had now the question is Dark Cloud or Rogue Galaxy?

I do wonder how the early PAL releases that were (often badly converted) 50hz only will be handled. I don't know how well PS4 supports 50hz (it might not at all), so perhaps they will be the US versions, with EFIGS added.

Oh BABY! I'm so going to spend 45 bucks on GTA Vice City, San Andreas and Dark Cloud. My wallet is ready. As if I wouldn't have enough games to play already...

The mention of 1080p is curious, I wonder if these titles did indeed get the bump to a native vertical 1080p or if it's still what Digital Foundry described the resolution as:

Original PlayStation 2 titles ran at a range of pixel counts, but 512x448 and 640x448 were commonplace (God of War 2 even let you choose between the two). It's still early days in our analysis, but first impressions suggest that the emulator resolves a native resolution of 1292x896. Two black lines are added top and bottom to the image, before receiving a final upscale up to full 1080p. In effect, we're looking at around 4x the pixel count - possibly higher, depending on the title.

Can someone explain upressed 1080p to me? Is it going to look closer to an SD or HD game?
How much better are these going to look compared to the emulated PS2 games on PS3?

It says DOWNLOAD NOW at the end.

Pretty clear this video was supposed to go live tomorrow but I guess the blowback from the leak made them do it today.

With this emulator in place there's really no reason why they couldn't just allow disc support, well other than the monetary reasons.

That said, I don't think allowing disc support would actually harm the sales of these because the people who buy these will be people who want trophy support, streaming, uprez, and digital anyway.

damn, not interested in replaying any of those games, I was really hoping Mercenaries would be on the list :(

I think we all assumed BC for PS2 was coming when all Sony said was this:

"We are working on utilising PS2 emulation technology to bring PS2 games forward to the current generation,"

But it doesn't say backward compatibility, just working to bring PS2 games to PS4 running on a emulator.

At that price i'm gonna be extremely picky on what I buy.

Budokai 3 and Socom 2 if it has online support will be day 1 no matter the price.

I'm hoping they will announce bigger PS2 titles during the conference, along with PSP and PS1 support (Vita TV would be awesome also, but I don't see that happening.)

Nice to see GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas were some titles shown in the trailer.

KOF 2000 is a goddamn MEGATON in my opinion

Last Blade 2 would have been.

No doubt all the SNK games will be on there at some point though.

Regardless I hope to see some of these PS2 games on Plus at some point. The pricing isn't doing them any favours at all.

I was about to ask if Twisted Metal Black had online support, then remembered that they actually released the online version as a separate disc, heh

SOCOM needs online support or its all for nothing.

I'm still holding out hope for an actual PS4 remaster in SOCOM's case. A SOCOM II remaster would be amazing... but it's not very likely. They could toss us some online servers for a PS2 classic version as a consolation prize.
