It's really weird how nearly everyone on my Twitter is complaining about being up for the conference. Do Americans not get up for before 10?

That is weird, especially considering it's 10am PST, meaning there are plenty of Americans for whom this'll be at 1pm.

I'm trying to think what was actually the most notable moment of the keynote last year. Yakuza 5 was probably it, right?

Ending on that godawful-looking Jaffe shooter was a huge mistake. I really hope they've learnt from that.

Street Fighter 5? Somewhat diminished by the leak I guess...

And every year, us, Europeans have to stay up until 3am to watch Sony E3 conference. Are we complaining? A little. But really? American people are complaining because they have to get up at 10AM?!!

Best not to dwell on such things. As an American you have my sympathies for how late many Western gaming events can be.

An hour before the keynote.

Let's all join hands and sing the song of Knack and Dart. They will visit us today and make all of our psx wishes come true

1 hour before keynote

As explained in the other thread. You really have to get up around 6 am on a weekend.

If you show up at 9 AM there will not be any seats left. Only 5000 seats and there's 7500 badges out there.

The line is already around 600 people at 7 am in the morning.

I think this will be more or less a low key event with some cool indie and AA announcements. I think it'll be around Gamescom level. Keeling hype in check.

I expect they do better than last year. Some thought it was weak, but I had my fun.

Yeah there is very little promotion for the keynote. This is a tribute to the fans and a celebration of Playstation - not an E3 unveil of everything.

... To be fair, Sony had little promotion for the keynotes of the following :

E3 2015
TGS 2015
PGW 2015

Eg. all of them. =P

In 2003 I went to London (where I now live and work) for the first time because of PlayStation Experience.
It was even the first time I ever got into a plane.

Super hyped about this :)

I am so tired of hearing this. PGW was amazing. Sony announced 2 full retail titles from their biggest franchise GT, and quirky one QD. Not to mention Matterfall, UD VR DLC, Driveclub bikes. GT announcement alone was huge seeing as it is the biggest franchise in Sony´s stable of games.

What exactly is a spoiler free keynote event thread?

People (rightfully) view these as events/live shows. If they are unable to see it as it airs, they'd like the experience viewing it as everyone else did instead of seeing a bunch of bullet points and threads. So usually someone makes a spoiler free thread with a bunch of links to the stream so people can bookmark/subscribe and watch it the moment they get home instead of opening gaf and seeing all the news already there.
