It's also clearly all from the first sequence in the game where they blow up the mako reactor, with maybe a tiny bit of later midgar exploring added

It's an Action RPG with command menu, just like Kingdom Hearts series. And at one point, I think Barret was used, so there'll likely be character switching. So basically, Final Fantasy Versus XIII is alive. lol

looked like it was using the FF15 engine so maybe that helped speed things along?

Voice acting was a little stiff, but looks fucking awesome. I wasn't expecting to see anything actually in game already. Maybe this game will be out before 2020 after all.
