As far as I'm concerned we have more things pointing toward the pastebin being real than being fake. Of course no one hear really knows for sure haha.

I can't find a single thing in the Pastebin that I didn't already know other than those two pieces of dialog.

I've been trying to tell people for months that I don't think she is any of the OT member's kids. You basically just get a blanket of butthurt from across the internet when you suggest it though.

Neither am I really. Just saying it seem more likely than not. I mean even when all signs pointed to it being true, I sure as hell didn't take the MSW released scene descriptions as facts either.

The R2 thing helps it a bit I think.

If she's not it will be the singular most disappointing thing for me. The only offspring turning evil?

Right...which weren't known until tonight...and it was posted 4 days ago.

So to repeat, it HAS to be one of the two following things:

A) A true telling of plot details
B) Some stuff made up after the person saw the first 9 minutes in Sydney a few days ago.

Also, other stuff is new, like saying Rey and Finn fall in love, or that R2 has been shut down and is not in much of the movie (the shut down stuff we only learned of today through the book).

Speak for yourself on that one. I don't think you were as up to date on leaks as you seem to think you were. Even the R2 being shut down part was rumored a while back when the first leaks from the children's book started coming out.

For me I've seen every theory, leak, bogus or not even write ups. I'll let the movie speak for it self rather then use someone trying to spoiler . When i'll be seeing it real soon.

Yep the butt hurt would be HUGE!! but it would be refreshing. To have Rey be someone new.

Well fair enough, I didn't know that. But still more signs point one way than the other.
 
JJ said Kylo Ren is not his real name. So we have no idea if that means first and last. All we know is that "Ren" is not actually part of his name. It's a title.

Leia and Han asked Luke what he would name him and he suggested Ben because he was in full Jedi mode and wasn't thinking about having a kid anytime soon if ever. /speculation

Right the love thing is straight out of the ass regardless. Nothing points to it.

Don't why anyone would latch on to that as fact. Especially in the first movie when even in the OT the love angle for Han and Leia was not a thing until later. That should be a red flag right off the bat.
 
All of this bickering over these minor characters when it is blatantly obvious that Kylo Ren, heir to the Chosen One, is the only one we should care about.

Kylo Ren: Descendant of the chosen one and blood of Luke Skywalker

Finn And Rey: Some people.

Ah it's 2:47 am for me, admittedly I didn't even open the reddit link for myself because I'm trying to avoid any other spoilers, I just copied it from the force.net boards. I'm just trying to find out about Rey so I can finally get some sleep : P
 
If anything, I find it funny that Kylo being a descendant of Vader is the reason for all his crazy power. That just gives more power to the midichlorian explanation for obtaining force sensitivity. Through bloodline.

If JJ truly wanted to kill that off,at least for this movie, why not just have him being frustrated because he has no power?

That'd be a very interesting story.

But hey, I love it just like this. Just like I love all 6 films.

Midichlorians are a thing that are Canon. JJ just a couple of days ago said he acknowledges this but that they don't directly reference them in the film.

Also I want to point out that video games are basically my life and the only thing I have ever talked about on GAF is Star Wars. I don't get it either.

Yes I read it, Im just saying that he could have distanced himself from it even more. It would've been interesting to see a guy desperately wanting force powers.

Just saying, I don't mind midichlorians in the slightest.

I argued with some people the other day for them because I said a lot of great story lines couldn't happen if every single person on earth could just become a Jedi. Especially the children stuff going on in Rebels that carried over from TCW. Plus it adds a lot more important to Anakin/Luke/Leia.

Well, if Luke is barely in the movie, it makes sense. Plus this is a trilogy; there's time. Second movie, dude.

What feelings have they stolen? I don't see the bad in that.
 
Harry Knowles says multiple sources have said Hamill is perfect in the movie. Not hard when you're in the movie for 30 seconds lol
 
I have two major issues with this pastebin. The kylo blaster bolt line looks completely shoehorned in from the visual dictionary stuff.

And the Poe part makes no sense about not showing up until the Starkiller base fight. I am about 99% positive we have seem him fly over Takodana. Unless I completely missed something here.

This is true. Poe does show up on Takodana. Recent TV Spots put his black Xwing there and the shot list confirmed he's there.

Edit: Why are we even debating this? We know his gets back to the Resistance in time for him to join the counterattack on Takodana, after the First Order gets there first.
 
After rereading it I think a lot of things dont make sense with it. Like never explaining why Finn hates the first order.

Unless they just scrapped all of the leaked stuff about his trooper buddy SLP-whatever and the bloody hand on his helmet.
 
Tons of more reactions and micro-reviews pouring in, too many to post but overall, the reaction is very positive, so I can go to bed calmly. Let see how the reactions hold up tomorrow and until Friday.

Okay one last thing.

Simon Pegg plays an alien called Ankar Plutt who took care of Rey when she was very little and her parents disappeared. Now he runs a junkyard on Jakku and buys scrap from Rey. His face and voice is not recognizable.

We already know what Unkarr Plutt looks like and that Simon Pegg plays him. Obviously you can't recognize his face. And why would he even mention Simon Pegg in this part since no one watching would ever actually know it was Simon Pegg?

I'm having a reaaaaaally hard time believing this thing.
 
I'm still holding out hope at this 11th hour that Rey is a Kenobi descendent so we can get some kind of line from Luke like "I knew your grandfather. He was a great man."

Of course, if she's a Skywalker I won't mind that either.
