Not a good sign for Ken to be that far down the list

In 3 days of playing, I haven't met a single decent Cammy. I don't know what it is with that character, but people are just random.

Interesting chart. Totally different from my experience with this beta-- foughts lots of Ryus, sure, but then it was all Charlie, Mika, Laura, and then a lot of Zangiefs and at one point, I got what I can only describe as the "flowchart Ken experience." It was like the early days of SF4 all over again-- kept getting DP spamming Ken players over and over again during one session.

They want you using V-trigger for that. Being able to do it with v-skill is too redundant and a bit OP. He pulls crazy damage out already without it, he doesn't need more combo extenders.

It's comparable in strength to a lot of other characters v-skills.
I'm not sure about that. Vtrigger requires 3 bar, which means you only get to use it once at best.

Note that this image is for the top of the leaderboards

Weird I ran into like 2 bisons total
I feel like he's a character that attracted better players, not exactly a starting character.

I've got this preordered on steam and physical CE for PS4.
I don't suppose I can link my accounts so that they share stats, fight money, etc., can they? If not, it may push me to just stick with PC.

Yes you get only one initial activation, but it's a huge amount of damage in that combo and any subsequent combos in the round.

Being able to do run cancel combos with his v-skill would be over the top, since damaging combos is something Ken doesn't lack. Also it would easily overshadow every single v-skill in the game.

I was wondering why bipson's popularity shot up.
It'll crash back down to Earth when people realize he needs a lot of work to be good with.
Yeah, that's what sold me on him, plus being able to mode switch claw on / claw off depending on the situation. I like mode switch characters. Eliza in SG, Sinanju in Gundam EXVS, now Vega.
Squigly is about as far as I go.
So now that they've confirmed that the PC version won't have Direct Input support at launch- https://twitter.com/MadCatz/status/694215961491013632

Anyone else feel PC is launching with all the beta bugs as well? Steam forums are going to be a mess of crash reports from Wacom Tablet owners.
I couldn't play any of the betas fullscreen without crashing 15 minutes later. Makes me wonder if this will happen after release.
I wouldn't worry about it. SF V will become Ken Fighter V when the full game is released.
It will be open season on shotos come release.
Cammy is very low on the charts, is that expected? I was thinking of using her as my main for SFV, or is that a bad choice?
She is great. Right now people are just hyperactive with her, Chun Li and Ken. Mashed jabs, cannon spikes and dragon punches all day.

Ken players were by far the most annoying bunch of the beta for me. Nothing but jab fighter V and dragon punches all over the place. I probably won more than I lost against him, but he's definitely more annoying than scary.
It should be noted that this is character usage of the top 250 ranking players, not character usage of all players in the beta.

Shame seeing so few Cammys in the top 250.
Looking at that chart makes me realize that Cammy was probably my least encountered female of the whole group. The women are still far more popular overall. I probably saw more of her in two hours of play than I did of Zangief, Vega, Sim and Rashid combined all day.

How could you hate a guy with fire kicks and punches?

Hated him since day one way, way back on SNES SF since I was Ryu all the way. Don't even use him anymore but fuck Ken regardless. And I mean that in the best possible way. The rivalry and hate should live on forever, no matter how chummy Capcom's made them over the years.

I played Ken like crazy when he was introduced and played really well. The beta after he was introduced it just wasn't the same for me. Not sure what they tweaked with him but it just wasn't working. Then I stopped completely by the last beta. Shame.

Man, I dunno about this game. I played around with it for a bit and now I've noticed that they even removed unique neutral jumping attacks. Just seems so barebones the more I mess around with it

Yea they took away proximity normals :/. Something I complained about earlier but apparently people don't like those either ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm okay with no prox normals but I felt like you should have more normals to make up for it after a certain point.

Or maybe I just miss Ken's cl st mk ayyy

Right, I knew about those, which is bs, but also the jumping neutrals have the same animation as jumping forward/back. I know they say they want the game to be more accessible, but that's taking away part of what makes SF

Yea pretty much. I was really disappointed in it as well but I guess this is what people want in a barebones SF game ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I don't miss proximity normals AT ALL.

Previous games have all sorts of unnecessary, worthless moves that no one ever uses. Get rid of them, and make the remaining moves all have a purpose.

SF5 has it right.

Proximity based normals were a drag since sometimes you'd be in range for them to connect but they won't activate due to being outside of whatever arbitrary range they got so you could drop combos for basically no reason.

Some close attacks are great antiair but you can't really rely on them being so situational. I'm all in favor of bringing back the v-ism style from alpha 3 where all of the close moves are a command instead, kinda how Chun's s. Hk works currently in sfv if that makes sense.
