Yes, Hilary's speech is a boring checklist but Bernie's dogged adherence to his stump speech of "billionaires and trillionaires," is the exciting stuff of dreams...

And neither will scratch the surface of what they campaigned for if elected

This whole thing is theatre

Based on? I'm assuming not reality, since she is pretty fucking liberal, and has the record to back that claim. I'm sorry, I just can't take these kind of statements serious anymore.

Hillary is the very definition of a centrist with some left leaning ideology.

Pointing out that Sanders doesn't stand much chance of clinching the nomination isn't "patronizing", it's merely stating the facts. You Bernie fans are in for a very rude awakening.

I think everyone knows Bernie is the underdog, that doesn't mean every pro-Bernie post has to be met with a "well he's not gonna win anything else so whatever" every. single. time.

Do you honestly believe that anything Hillary wants to get done is going to get through a Republican congress?

Both Democrats have an equal chance of achieving anything beyond picking the Supreme Court Justices.

Hillary would actually WIN the election, so that argument is pretty moot.

Thanks for the new info I had never heard before and for the concern. I'll be fine.

So like any President ever?

They aren't dictators they can only get done what they can push through Congress but it's not like they aren't going to try to accomplish what they promised.

Hillary isn't the one campaigning on dismantling the ACA and replacing it with single payer. Hillary wants to continue and expand on the current policies of the administration. Bernie wants to dismantle it completely. Is it possible neither gets anywhere? Sure. But hillary is in the land of plausibility where sanders is spouting unicorns and rainbows.

THAT is why he will continue to get nowhere with minorities. If you're happy with the Obama administration, why would you vote for Sanders?

This is the politically correct answer, it's not wrong to admit that large portions of the voter base are wary to vote for candidates, not because of a legitimate disagreement for their policies, but out of ignorance, complacency, superficial wariness, and misconceptions about their opponents.
Which isn't the say the reverse isn't the case because I know black people who aren't voting for Bernie because they have policy disagreements, but to act like the reverse of that isn't a factor just because you don't want to make claims about a minority voter base is just ridiculous, especially if you're willing to do it for white voters which I know people on here are willing to do.
Bernie speaks out against private prisons while his opponent takes money from them, he wants to remove Marijuana from being schedule 1 drugs, he wants to make it so people dying in police custody automatically triggers a federal investigation, he wants to get rid of voting laws that specifically target minorities, and he wants to implement economic policies that inherently benefit all American's regardless of race, and if black people aren't voting for Bernie because he focuses on economics than they probably shouldn't be voting at all, especially if they think Clinton is any better on it, or maybe that's my bias as a black Bernie voter/occasional volunteer speaking.
What brilliant idea do you have in regards to fixing racial inequality that Bernie should be proposing?

Jesus fuck.. Bernie Bros the goddamned worst.

I don't know about you guys but, as a Canadian, I find the "Clinton's a shoe - in" crowd way more aggravating than the "Bernie Bros" crowd.

I hope Bernie wins! America could use someone like him.

I wonder just how much the debate meltdown hurt him. I hadn't kept up with NH polls between then and tonight. Really wonder who the establishment will rally behind if he underperforms again.

Rachel Maddow explained it really well last night. If a candidate already has a reputation for a flaw, in this case being a robot that only spouts talking points, a flub like Marco Roboto had in the debate carries a lot more weight than if someone like Ted Cruz would have done it. Although, Marco's meltdown was so bad it might have hurt most anyone.

Hillary goes whichever way the polls are leaning and I kind of like that about her.

Double-edged sword... it also means she lack strong convictions. She should've always been pro-gay marriage and against Middle East intervention, but went along with the polls in both cases.

I find it hilariously ironic that some of these Bernie Supporters keep touting how Black people don't know Bernie yet, or probably uninformed...

Yet, they don't realize how terrible his policies are or have no idea how he'll get ANY of his shit through Congress.

So, who's really uninformed?

The funny thing is, of course, that Bill was notoriously terrible for black people. He toughened crime laws that hurt black people disproportionately, NAFTA caused a lot of jobs to leave the U.S. that hurt black folks, who are last-hired and first-fired...but he showed up on Arsenio and played a sax.

Toni Morrison's little narrative that he was the first black president was bullshit and a clear illustration of style over substance. I won't hold Hillary responsible for how Bill hurt black folks in the '90s, but it's a real shame if black voters like Hillary because they like Bill. I don't know why the fuck black people should like Bill if one looks at the facts of his presidency.
